“We've been seasonal campers at Willow Cove Park for several years now, and we just love it! It's a quiet, family-oriented park, and the other campers are a lovely, fun and friendly group. We love that it's very spacious. The trailers aren't jammed in every available spot like in some other parks. It's a great spot for boating, fishing, and swimming, and we especially like to get out in the canoe or on the paddleboards. There's a lovely sandy beach area, which is great for the kids to swim and play. The park is located on the west side of Prince Edward County, so it's just a short drive from all that the County has to offer including artists' studios, restaurants, Sandbanks, and many wineries. The owners are great, really good with communication, and everything is very organized and well run. Handyman/Groundskeeper Dave is awesome too. Always so helpful and cheerful. The park is kept neat and tidy; lots of trees and gardens, with gorgeous weeping willows all along the waterfront - just beautiful! And of course, the sunsets. We've never seen sunsets as spectacular as the ones we see most nights from Willow Cove Park out across Weller's Bay. We think this park is a hidden gem, and feel very fortunate that we're able to spend time here. We can't wait for the season to open!”

“We have been residents of Highland park for the past 16 years, it is a beautiful location with wonderful people from many diverse backgrounds. As a mixed race couple we have never felt uncomfortable, our neighbors and friends at the park are great progressive people and its a pleasure to get out there and camp. I owe my dear co-worker who was also a part owner of the park in the past for introducing me to the park and the area. I love the area so much that I recently purchased my dream retirement home just down the road from the park. I look forward to many years ahead enjoying all that Highland park has to offer. See you soon my friends!”

“So what can I say about this little gem I found last minute. First I was shocked with the cottages condition. Brand new inside and out. Unlike other cottages I have rented that are barely standing and stink of humidity the second you walk in. Non of that here. Beautiful inside and fully equipped with everything you need. Your own BBQ firepit and table outside. Seating area with lake view inside. Clean fresh and new. Alexia was an awesome host. At night they all had bonfires going on. Movies for the kids on a projector. Everyone seemed to know everyone there. Pet friendly. Will definitely return next year without a doubt. Good job guys. Keep up the good work.”

“Just spent an amazing 3 days there. This was our very first camp out ever and we were so glad to choose this campground. The staff was super helpful and super nice. Very quite at night which is perfect considering we went with a 3 year old and a 9 yr old. Playgrounds were beautiful and close by and the beach was breathtaking with lots of shallow walkout again perfect for small kids!! All the other campers were super friendly too. The washrooms and showers were surprisingly clean (I honestly wasn't expecting them to look so nice) and close by too. I am definitely recommending this campground to everyone with kids. We are definitely going back. My only complaint is that we didn't book long enough!! Lol”

“Great place for family camping. Clean park in a great area. Very short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Lots to do. Update: camped here recently. Still a great place. Check in was excellent. Beach area is good. Pool is fun. Only complaint would be the speed people drive in the park.”

“This is our first visit to this campsite and we stayed there for two nights. It is not a resort and it does not have a swimming pool. The water supplied outside of the office is not for drinking and we brought our own drinking water. However, it had what we needed. The washroom/shower are about 200m away from our tent site. And there is room for laundry and washing dishes. The Sandbanks beach is close by and we enjoyed boating on the East lake. I also saw many people are having fun fishing there. The camp is full of happy people and the owner visited us at least four times during our stay asking if we need any help. It is a warm, happy land surrounded by beautiful lake and forest. It is crowded and even a bit noisy. But it is moderate (not fancy) place where it is sweet like home. I will definitely go back again and will recommend to my friends.”

“Our second stay and it was equally as enjoyable as the first. It was fall and the leaves were starting to change colour, beautiful area at this time of year. The grounds are extremely well kept and the site we stayed in was easily accessed and level. Services were conveniently located in our site, the only issue was with very low water pressure a couple times during our six day stay. Lake Avenue, while located at the south end of the county, is still convenient for accessing the rest of the area. You'll find nothing is really far away. We brought our kayaks as the resort has an excellent beach and boat docks on East Lake, but weather prevented getting them out. Our bikes got well used on the Millennium Trail, a definite must do while staying in the area. Plenty of wine tours to take in as well as craft breweries. The owners of Lake Avenue are welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. Thier resort is a combination of full-time sites with a number of transient sites. The permanent units are clean and well cared for. I would imagine the place is gets fully booked in the summer months, but we have been lucky enough to find spots on our spring and fall stays. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return here again.”

“We had a great experience at Cherry Lane! The cottage was amazing, clean and very comfortable. We rented Cottage 1, which had a view of the water. It was truly amazing! It's close to wineries, sandbanks beach and cute shops! We cannot wait to book again for next summer! Highly recommend!”

“We recently stayed 3 nights at County Shores Campground and were very pleased. The campground is very clean as are the washrooms. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The only downside is there is no beach. I would highly recommend this campground.”

“A great budget hostel. Large, well equipped kitchen and common room. A bit off the beaten track. The surroundings are very quiet and peaceful, but you're only 20 minutes from the restaurants in Picton. Two wineries and a cidery within walking distance. No immediate access to the lake, but swimming can be had within a 20 minute drive. If you are coming to the County without a car, it is advisable to rent one. Taxis are available, but can be costly and are very busy during high season.”
