“We found Ashley Design and Build on Homestars and they responded very quickly with a phone call and then a visit and of course a quote. We had a personal delay in responding and Pryan was very patient with us. We ended up doing more work than initially planned because of our visit with Siri who gave us ideas about what to do. In the end, we did our kitchen, foyer, powder room, spare bath and laundry floors but also the vanities in those rooms and the shower enclosure and a new tub. The crew were very nice fellows and we felt totally comfortable with them in our home and they did their best to control the dust. Even our puppy warmed up to them. We did have some scheduling hiccups but worked together to resolve them and in the end, the job took the quoted amount of time. What I truly appreciated was their ability to problem solve on the fly, correcting issues that preceded this work but were revealed as they went through the demo and installation process, e.g., leveling the floors, identifying plumbing issues, etc. We would definitely work with this crew again.”

“When we decided to undertake an almost complete renovation of our house (main floor, basement and upstairs hallway) we looked for recommendations for a reliable, dependable and honest company to do the job. Thankfully we got a recommendation for Paradisaic Building Group. Ben and Jordan came out to the house and we walked through everything we wanted to have renovated. We then worked with Jordan over the next several months as we finalized the scope of the project. We received a very detailed document outlining our project from start to finish. It broke down the cost of everything we wanted (and everything Paradisiac needed to do to make it happen). The work commenced. Our project manager Greg communicated with us every step of the way. We were living off site so we received bi-weekly emails telling us what was happening and what was coming up. He always made sure we were happy with the work that was going on. He was organized and knowledgeable. He kept us on schedule with our selections so the work never stopped because we forgot to pick something. He was great. Chris, Keith and all of the other carpenters who worked in our house were beyond excellent. As walls came down and issues were found Chris walked us through the issue, gave use several ways to fix it and always gave his advice on the best way forward. This was a huge help. I believe our house turned out better than we had imagined because of Chris. Michelle, the in-house designer, was amazing. She helped us pick out all of our finishes. She would give her opinion on why she thought things would work and why things might not. In the end our house turned out amazing. The work came in just under budget and just a week over the estimated completion time (nothing Paradisaic could have done to prevent that). I would 100% recommend Paradisaic for your home reno needs. They turned our house into our dream home.”

“Thank you, Durham Housing Specialists! We spoke with Dan just over a year ago (just before the pandemic) We knew we were going to renovate the basement and the ductwork was done horribly (what do you expect from a house that was built in the late 70's, when heating and cooling was just an afterthought). After a previous reno we lost the air returns from the second floor (wall removal, flush beam). There was also never any air returns in the bedrooms, which made the air quality feel very stuffy / stale especially our master bedroom which was the furthest away from the furnace. We also needed the entire heater unit moved back 4 feet away from a wall and the A/c moved to the other side of the wall so we could create a walkout to the basement. After lots of debates we ended up choosing the Trane product line (we splurged a bit, peace of mind for the next 15 years, hopefully). Furnace, AC and Tankless water heater. Dan and his team took the time to really understand the issues, our needs and wants and we all worked together to create a final solution! Dan’s team (Mark and Mark) were very respectful of our home and did a great job to create a solution we are very happy with. They even made sure we had minimal down time of systems. All during the pandemic lockdown which made planning even more tedious. After they completed the work all we can say is it’s fabulous and such a dream to have even cooling though out the house! “We had a flood from our upstairs to our finished basement in Feb. I awoke to the water coming through our ceiling and the walls, filling our laundry room and upstairs hardwood floors cupboards, we quickly tried to mop up as much as possible as it was early morning 5:30am ish As soon as we called our insurance company, around 9 am, The Co-operators in Port Perry, they very calmly said they would get in touch with the adjuster, Chris. He called immediately. He asked if he could send out the Restoration Company, Winmar. They called right away and within an hour had a fantastic team of Emergency Workers, Cheryl, Theresa and Juan. Immediately they had to take pictures and assess the hat needed to be dealt with first, then they just got to things being packed up, dried up, moved around… then drywall ripped off, floors ripped up, insulation removed as it was saturated and they gave us a step by step synopsis of dates we could expect things to be completed. First thing was to get it dried. We also had to ask about keeping the dust to an absolute minimum as we have numerous family members with serious asthma. They went over and above the call of duty to be sure we were happy all the time and that we knew what to expect. Once it got down to the putting our house back together, Marci was our Co-ordinator with which team was doing electrical, drywall, plumbing etc. Things took a bit longer due to Covid and certain supplies not being available, but the team of Nick, Brent and Scott, showed when they were supposed to, did what was expected, the work was reinspected by Jeff, the Project Coordinator! All the people we dealt with were very kind, understanding and really went out of their way to help us. We highly recommend this company and their staff!!
