Oh my god the custard tarts! The custard tarts oh my god.
Also all the sandwiches I've had here are awesome. Just enough heat, the meat is done right and the bread is fresh.
The only complaint, if I'd call it that, is how convoluted the line up can get. Still well worth it

Caldense is a great part of the Whitby community located right downtown. Their breakfast and lunch dishes are tasty and diner-style with Portuguese influence. The selection of pastries for takeout or eat-in is huge and everything I've tried has been delicious. Service is quick and courteous. And they pull a great shot of espresso too. Highly recommend.

We went here for breakfast today. Very clean atmosphere, our waiter was efficient and courteous. We enjoyed a ham and cheese omelette and very delicious coffee. I checked out the bakery counter which was full of delicious looking pastries. I will definitely come back here. They also offer seating outside as well as inside which was great as it was a beautiful day.
