“I was weary when I saw the price. I was weary when I saw the outside. Then I got shown a room and was pleasantly surprised. Floor is modern as is the bathroom. Possibly renovated. Room was small but only needed it for one night. AC worked great. Washroom and bathtub/shower was clean. Bed was good too. Only issues was the wifi kept cutting in and out. So be prepared to use a bit of your data. Area was good. Across from a newly constructed row of business. A few minutes walk to downtown and about a 10 mi yet walk to a grocery store and shoppers. Lots of restaurants around. Again, pleasantly surprised.”

“A beautiful place to connect with nature and let the stress melt away. We chose this for our wedding anniversary as we have always loved nature, but are old enough now to appreciate not sleeping on the ground. The power supply they provided charged our phones, lights, the fan they provide and my CPAP machine for 2 days without any issues. We had our own little outhouse with a pump sink. The trails are beautiful and there are lights everywhere for night time walks. The stomping ground is a great place to hang out, have a BBQ, or play one of the many games provided. We used the binoculars and saw some beautiful birds. At your private site there is a firepit provided if you don't feel like being social at the common areas. Your hosts are the most sweetest, genuinely good people you will ever meet. We are definitely booking again. Love you Soper Creek❤️❤️❤️”

“Beautiful location with lots of activities for all ages. Spooky theme for Halloween was very fun. The yurt was quite comfortable and we would definitely like to try a geodesic dome as they looked like they had a great view of the night sky. We may have picked the wrong time to go as we were the only ones there. Would have 5 stars if the hot tub worked but as the weather was cold the tub would not heat up so had to pack things up early.”

“My review is not on the Moodie Motor Inn but its on the funnel cake truck that is located on the propery. It is AMAZING!!! Its a must eat this summer. Its not greasy like those from the two big 'playgrounds' of the summer. Its done to order with a variety of toppings. Be warned the serving is huge, at least in my opinion. I would say it can serve two to three persons. Ask for you frequent purchase card. You will definitely go back for more. ? Priced from $8 for basic and $1 per topping.”

“From the start of this endeavour to find a reasonable place for a shower and a good nights rest was quite a pleasant experience, I walked into the front desk as any contractor would look, not in a business suit, had the pleasure of meeting two fantastic ladies at the desk (especially Donna) who welcomed me to the hotel and quickly got me signed in and dispatched to my room (special request for a ground floor so I could have a view of my van in which are a lot of expensive tools of my trade) clean room, comfy bed, clean sheets, its been a wonderful experience, will definitely be back when in the area, highly recommended and will be looking to book other locations as contracts become available, thanks ladies”

“This is such a wonderful and warm lodging place in Ajax. A hidden gem! I found this through Expedia and all the reviews were precise and accurate. The Tartan house is very warm and it gives you that "home away from home" vibe. I love Christmas and I love how the house is filled with Christmas decorations. :) I really enjoyed my stay here. I definitely recommend this lodging if you're around the area. But wait... there's more... the BREAKFAST is beyond amazing! They offer a 4-meal-course breakfast that was just divine! I am sure if they turn that into a restaurant it will be packed every morning! :)”

“Stayed here over Christmas Break time to see some family. The rooms are big, beds are incredibly comfortable. The parking is free. Breakfast is awesome - one of the better free breakfasts of places I've stayed to be honest. Wifi is good. Bathroom was fairly clean. Our sheets had chocolate in them for some odd reason - but management was pretty decent about it. Pool was on the colder side, but the hot tub was nice.”
