When my 15 year old son expressed an interest in boxing I phoned around and after talking to Sean for 5 minutes I knew I found "the place". Sean and all the members have given my son a place he feels comfortable to learn the sport and compete. It's a boxing club but it's really like a family that is always happy to see you.
Such an amazing environment. The head coach Sean creates an open space that welcomes beginners and experienced boxers in the same class. As an athlete in a different sport, I have never seen someone master the diversity of skill set all in one place quite like Sean. He even worked with me one-on-one to get my skill set up quickly. If you're looking for an awesome workout AND an incredibly knowledgable boxing coach, this is the place to be!
Regency Boxing is a fantastic place to get a great workout, meet awesome people and learn anywhere from the basics to the absolute most advanced techniques of boxing. Sean’s positive attitude and professionalism in coaching just adds to everything that I love about Regency Boxing. Regency is a must for anyone looking to become a better version of themselves!
Great coaches. Great environment. Great people. With such a place it makes me keep coming back, learn boxing, and push my limits.
I am not often lost for words. To review Regency Boxing and Coach Sean, a keyboard cannot give them justice. I had always wanted to box. Being a fitness instructor and personal trainer, training others was always my priority until I ended up having a full knee replacement (I wore it out!). The pool became my cardio training arena, but since I could not do heavy lower body lifting any longer I needed something to give me a "punch". Enter boxing! I contacted Sean and have been training with him for 1.5 years. Yes, the workouts were tough and fabulous. Yes, the teaching was amazing. Yes, it was fun. But it was Sean's positive attitude and encouragement (and that of the whole Regency family - it really is a family), that makes this Club and Sean stand out above the rest. I, without hesitation, recommend Regency Boxing to any beginning, intermediate, or experienced boxer. It is a welcoming, encouraging, challenging, and non-intimidating atmosphere. I am moving out of province and will miss Sean and Regency Boxing tremendously. If you are even thinking about it, throw your hat in the ring!
