“11/10! A friend of mine has been volunteering here for just over year, and I asked if I could join her. There was a lot of orientation but was it worth it because there's a lot you need to know. Figuring out all the innerworkings of a Wildlife Shelter was amazing! I love working with the animals, it's a great new experience. I can also promise that we treat each new animal with as much care as we can give :3”

“Well kept, quiet, and full of shade. There's a small parking area next to it for convinience. Children love the park and nearby beach (both are poké stops). It was a great place for a picnic. There's no public washroom nearby, and also there a small 'take a book leave a book' nearby.”

“Sherwood Hills Park overall is a good facility. Playground is good for children, and it is mostly kept clean. Baseball diamond gets lit up at night. Some lights flicker often though. Park also includes bleachers and a port-a-potty.”

“Love the store. Lots of flowers and plants. Prices not too bad. Somethings were pricey. Beautiful to go in and a dull day. Cheers you up. But flowers always makes things better, don't you agree!???? Truly recommend Cole's”

“Great spot hidden away on the escarpment in Grimsby for a hike/walk. There are a couple different loops you can take around the property and there is one that can take you down the escarpment as well. In the springtime you will often see hawkwatch volunteers with binoculars and zoom lens cameras as this area is situated along many bird of prey's migratory path. In the springtime these birds use the updraft from the lake+escarpment to soar up and over the escarpment north toward their breeding/summer feeding grounds. There is an observatory tower near the entrance and if you walk through the paths toward the edge of the escarpment there are several other man-made structures along the edge that provide more intimate views. The dominant species is definitely turkey vultures and some days one could see hundreds of vultures soar overhead but there are also several other species that you could potentially see. Make sure you stop by the bulletin board to see what species the hawkwatch volunteers had recorded that week.”

“I was at Bramer Falls Manor for a private party. The atmosphere was very nice, pretty lights outside, the forest and the building was pretty too. We arrived and left while it was dark so I don't know how the rest of the area is, but I do know that Beamer Conservation Authority next door is beautiful and the views of Grimsby over the escarpment are fun to see.”

“At first glance it looks fairly small compared to other parks, but once you start walking towards the water it gets to be pretty long of a walk! It's great for the dogs and the people here are very friendly. Not everyone picks up after their dogs though.”
