“One of the few indoor playgrounds that are open for drop-in on the weekend. So that is a huge plus. Essentially it’s a large space with a variety of different sized balls and climbing structure with three types slides (the two larger ones are quite fast!). There is a toddler room with more of the same. Seemed clean. There was only one staff working on a Saturday at opening. She was kind. My rating may be biased as I am comparing with the beautiful, and plentiful, indoor playgrounds in Asia. I wish North America would prioritize kids and families like other countries do. Having an playground at Sherway or Square One seems like a logical thing to do, right?”

“Updated: October 9, 2020 Element CrossFit is a great place to work out! The coaches are excellent - they are always encouraging and will spot your form to ensure that you perform all the exercises properly and in a safe manner. Speaking of safety, I am very impressed with (and comforted by) the measures that the facility has taken to ensure that its members can train without worry in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cleanliness is ensured with advanced disinfecting protocols. Physical distancing is achieved by assigning a large square to each member during classes, and limiting the number of people inside at any given time. Mask wearing is also mandatory whenever you leave your square. Finally, good ventilation is made possible by the large square footage, very high ceilings, open garage doors, and a large slow-moving fan to keep the air-flow going. I highly recommend working out here, and I have felt very safe doing so.”

“Dan is awesome. I was looking into getting started on a fitness routine and did a lot of research on trainers and fitness facilities in the area. Met Dan after a phone call, did one session with Dan and immediately signed up. Dan makes every session very exciting, yet challenging. Dan is very friendly, encouraging, positive and puts you at ease. The classes are also wonderful, everyone is super welcoming and friendly. You definitely break a sweat during these sessions. If you are looking to get started, I would highly recommend Dan and Crossfit Crosscheck.”

“Really welcoming staff. I enjoyed my first Brazilian Samba class with Emily. To tell you why, I have to get into my frustrations with other gyms/ classes. I'm tall so during any gym class I focus hard on form rather than speed to try to get things right and avoid injury- because of that I always feel behind in a class and when I totally know I'm messing up some instructors just ignore not just me but whole rows of people struggling and in need of some personal direction or adjustment. Emily was *so* good. She was very attentive and good at pausing you if you needed to work on something while directing the advanced dancer and vice versa. She definitely knew how to take control of the class and adapt to the needs. She was sweet and encouraging. She did a good job increasing the challenge gradually so that everyone felt like they could participate. She was attentive and even noticed how I can improve on stretches at the end. The class had great music and fun moves. Emily was a gifted dancer herself who I hope I can learn more from in the future.”
