“This place is perfect for young families. Staying here was the highlight of our summer! We had such a pleasant stay at the cottage. There are endless things to do. The water is perfect for little ones as it is so shallow for so long and has a perfect beach area for them to play at. The cottage has everything that you could ever need. So many sleeping options, high chairs, toys, etc. The games rooms were a big hit with the kids and the adults. The hosts Jen and Al are the nicest people you could ever meet. Can’t wait to go back there again!”

“I have been going to Bonnechere ever since I was a kid. The environment is so lovely, the people care about you and your relationship with God, and the community there is just so inspiring. Ministering to people who are younger, people who are new to Christianity, everyone is welcome to come and learn. It’s so unbelievably friendly and I would highly recommend.”

“A wonderful place for family and memories. If you can experience this place at any time of year you will truly feel blessed. Easy access to water. Cabins are cozy. Spend your day swimming biking around or jump in a canoe to explorer the local Sherwood river or Bonnechere river. Fish have been reintroduced to the lake and I have caught a few so bring your rods. Spend the evening looking at the stars. As this is one of the larger lakes in the region it is wonderful to watch storms come in from across the lake. Truly magical.”

“since John has taken over the store, there is lots of variety. I needed steering fluid, the store had that. I needed plumbing parts he has a great assortment too! So it is a corner store, mixed merchandise, souvenir and food store! Add the gas service and cleanliness it is now one of the best general corner stores around!! It gets a 9 out 10 and only because I could not find any drywall compound, lol Good job John!!,”

“Had an incredible experience at Eva’s Cafe - Schoolhouse Inn! The owners, Eva and Sandor, truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their warm hospitality made a lasting impression. The food was an absolute delight—each dish was delicious and left us craving for more. We found ourselves returning multiple times over the weekend, thoroughly enjoying our meals. It wasn't just a cafe visit, but a memorable stay. I can't wait to visit again! We had their Schnitzel, rice pudding, the great breakfast, and avocado toast. Her chocolate cake is also absolutely amazing too. Thank you Eva and Sandor we will definitely be back!”

“Great park! Beautiful lake with a really good beach. Stayed in one of the rustic cabins and we all loved it. Only negatives are the extremely squeaky beds and no cell service where the cabins are located (at least on Bell/Telus network). Cabins come with a canoe and firewood. Would highly recommend this park, and in particular the cabins.”

This place offers you a wide variety of activities like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sky watching and so on.... where 17 acres of the property is all yours to explore with vivid variety of flora and fauna. “Beautiful seasonal campground on Round Lake. Mishewah has two beaches, several accommodation types (including motel suites), with excellent facilities. Family camp in July and overnight student camps throughout August. Mishewah is an absolute highlight for us each summer. Best camp environment out there!”

“Don’t listen to the people here giving poor reviews. Terry is a fabulous campsite owner, he takes pride in the grounds and is helpful and friendly to anyone that comes. I’ve been coming here for years, it’s really quite simple. Be respectful and courteous. If you aren’t able to do that then I imagine you’d find a problem anywhere. Beach is fabulous and the swimming is some of the best - sand for miles. See you soon Terry!”

“Non-operating park, so there are no staff and few amenities. Park on the road and the beach is only about 5 minutes walk. Really nice beach, can get surprisingly busy. Not as good for small children, because of the walk from the road and it's only shallow near the shore. It's worth noting that there are no washrooms.”
