Great spot. Very quite. Excellent boat access. Twice the smell of the nearby washrooms filled the air.
Great park! Beautiful lake with a really good beach. Stayed in one of the rustic cabins and we all loved it. Only negatives are the extremely squeaky beds and no cell service where the cabins are located (at least on Bell/Telus network). Cabins come with a canoe and firewood. Would highly recommend this park, and in particular the cabins.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience camping at Bonnechere Provincial Park. There’s a lake right at the back of our spot so we were able to fish right there, which is really the cool part. They also have kayak, canoe, and paddle board for rent if you don’t have equipments. The beach is also wonderful, they have picnic table available where we had dinner. What a great view!
What a place just fantastic, it’s worth driving 350+ km from Toronto. Superb playground for kids and everyone. Camping site is also just perfect. Camp has all the amenities- electricity (not all site) clean washrooms, shower area and coin laundry. Beach site is clean, water level are just perfect for all age people to have fun . The beach has beach mats for easier movement with walkers, wheelchairs, or strollers. The best part are the Ontario Parks staff they are so helpful and hardworking.
Camped here for the first time and had a great time. Beautiful park, clean, responsive staff made us feel comfortable during our stay. Only thing we didn't love was cleaning the sap off the vehicle and camp stuff after. Part of nature of course but a first for us to experience to this extent. Alot of it was caused from the chipmunks throwing down pinecones to go collect, be prepared they hit hard from that height! Luckily we had tarp over tent for the rainy forecast so no cleanup of tent necessary. Had a river site and launching kayaks from the site was great. There are many places to launch if not having a river site. Paddling along the river and the lake was breathtaking. Our new favorite place.
