“This tiny municipal park, located at the intersection of Wilson Street and Church Street, is remarkable due to the fact that it is home to one of the region’s most legendary artifacts, the Hudson Stone. For such a prolific explorer, whose name is now so ubiquitous in North America, Henry Hudson’s last years of life aren’t very well documented as it is only known that he disappeared after his crew had cast him adrift in the waters of James Bay in 1611. The inscription “HH Captive 1612” on the stone found in 1959 by a road construction worker gave rise to a legend that Henry Hudson had been captured by the natives and possibly killed. I personally find this legend fascinating.”

“My husband and I stayed for the weekend in the hillside geodesic dome and it was truly what dreams are made of. You will not be disappointed! The dome is very cozy and comfortable, it has a heater and a light as well as running water and a flushing toilet. The park is absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. Also less than ten minutes from the beautiful town deep river and all it has to offer. We kayaked down at the beach and it was perfect for us as beginners, calm and shallow. The views are spectacular. Seriously you have to go! The management and staff are so kind and accommodating. We will be back. Thank you Juan!! We appreciate everything you've done to make our stay so wonderful. You have no idea how much we needed it.”

“What a blast. I have so many nice things to say about the hospitality, the scenery, and the fish! It was all great. My whole family that stayed caught lots of fish including big walleye, catfish, Nothern pike, and small mouth bass. The water was high and cloudy and some how we still caught fish. The help was great Martin made sure our boat worked every morning as well as getting us firewood. Martin was super nice and friendly and had a great positive presence. If we had any issues TJ was ready to help us at any hour. Tj also showed us fishing spots and help us choose lures. Breakfast was good not great wish there were eggs or a meat option. Cabins were nice nothing special but comfy beds and not cramped. The Beach was clean and amazing...I’ve never had such a view. I’ve been to Canada over a handful of times. So after spending a week there this place gets a 5 star it’s awesome fishing camp or hangout camp. Deep river is a cute little town to walk around if your bored of catching fish. Thanks for reading my review I hope this helps you pick a vacation spot!”
