“Awesome resort near the site I was working at. The cabins were clean and well maintained. Our cabin had a screened in porch that was awesome. The view from the beach is stunning. Especially in the morning, where the resort really lives up to its name. I'd 100% stay here again!”

Pine Valley Resort & Campground

Address: 1262 Pine Valley Rd, Stonecliffe, ON K0J 2K0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“I highly recommend a cabin at Pine View Resort. It’s about a 20 minute drive past Deep River. We just rented a cabin that had a queen, two doubles and a single. The kitchen had everything we need and had a quaint living room and patio. Also has a gas BBQ. You can borrow their kayaks, canoes and life jackets at no additional charge. They come and pick up your garbage and recycling (if you put it outside) daily. There’s horseshoes, basketball nets, tether ball, badminton nets, and many docks and little beaches. It was amazing for the price. It’s also pet friendly which is a must for us, so as long as you clean up after them. We will definitely be going back annually, without a doubt.”

Driftwood Provincial Park - Brumm Campground

Address: 301-253 Driftwood Park Rd, Stonecliffe, ON K0J 2K0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“The park is small so set your expectations accordingly. The comfort station is far off from Brumm Campground meaning you need to drive over and the parking there can accommodate only 4 SUVs at a time. We were at group campsite 202. This campsite is amazing. It's tucked away inside so lots of privacy. Has plenty of shade and excellent drainage. Almost zero slope except at entrance. There is a hidden path to the Creek Trail. The beach or day use area is cute and is an excellent spot for sunset. The arking there is again small holding upto 7 cars. There is access to Riverside trail from this point and you can even walk to the comfort station from here. The beach is at this location and does not have lot of sand. The view thigh is breathtaking as you can see Quebec from this side. Trails need lot of markings. They are sporadic and you can trust your instincts at few points. This park is secluded kind of so make sure you go fully packed. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The garbage area is before the parking office to your left as you enter the park. When go there make sure you get the garbage bags, and activity books for kids. Both are free to take. Comfort station is small but clean. The water ain't too hot for bath. Overall recommend this if you want some piece time and nature time. I wouldn't go there again as it's far but it's worth a visit once.”

“Great park! Beautiful lake with a really good beach. Stayed in one of the rustic cabins and we all loved it. Only negatives are the extremely squeaky beds and no cell service where the cabins are located (at least on Bell/Telus network). Cabins come with a canoe and firewood. Would highly recommend this park, and in particular the cabins.”

Dunne's Trailer Park and Campground

“Don’t listen to the people here giving poor reviews. Terry is a fabulous campsite owner, he takes pride in the grounds and is helpful and friendly to anyone that comes. I’ve been coming here for years, it’s really quite simple. Be respectful and courteous. If you aren’t able to do that then I imagine you’d find a problem anywhere. Beach is fabulous and the swimming is some of the best - sand for miles. See you soon Terry!”

Foy Provincial Park

Address: Red Rock Rd, Killaloe, ON K0J 2A0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Non-operating park, so there are no staff and few amenities. Park on the road and the beach is only about 5 minutes walk. Really nice beach, can get surprisingly busy. Not as good for small children, because of the walk from the road and it's only shallow near the shore. It's worth noting that there are no washrooms.”

Tenna-Brise Municipal Park

Address: 6 Wilson St, Chalk River, ON K0J 1J0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment

“This tiny municipal park, located at the intersection of Wilson Street and Church Street, is remarkable due to the fact that it is home to one of the region’s most legendary artifacts, the Hudson Stone. For such a prolific explorer, whose name is now so ubiquitous in North America, Henry Hudson’s last years of life aren’t very well documented as it is only known that he disappeared after his crew had cast him adrift in the waters of James Bay in 1611. The inscription “HH Captive 1612” on the stone found in 1959 by a road construction worker gave rise to a legend that Henry Hudson had been captured by the natives and possibly killed. I personally find this legend fascinating.”

Golden Lake Park Campground

Address: 13685 ON-60, Golden Lake, ON K0J 1X0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Real estate agency Travel agency Point of interest Establishment

“Golden Lake Park Campground is a very nice place to visit as a transient or stay as a seasonal camper. The owners set the tone and work very hard to provide a well maintained, safe and happy camping experience. Tents, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motor homes all have places here. The lake is beautiful, there is a small river to explore, trees, beaches and lots of happy campers. Within a few minutes to an hour away there are many small towns, a few small cities, caves, Algonquin Park and many other interesting places to visit.”

Petawawa Centennial Park

“If you want a nice view of the Ottawa River, this park is a nice place to walk. It’s paved and smooth and not challenging at all. It is also generally not busy at all- at least by my standards as someone from Kitchener. There is a nice playground area too for kids.”

Civitan Playland

“There is a full day of fun here! Large park with lots to do, splash pad to keep the kids cool. There are picnic tables to have lunch and a gazebo. There are also fruit trees for the community to eat from. There are ball diamonds across the park to watch people play, mini putt beside at a small cost of $2 with a tuck shop. At the other side of the diamonds is a bike park which is good for all ages. It is close to Dairy Queen which is nice to pop over for a cool treat. Not very well shaded so bring hats and sunscreen!!”

Petawawa Terrace Provincial Park

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“It was a gorgeous day and a hot one. This cause most of the ice and snow to melt. Luckily, we were prepared with waterproof boots and shoes. It was a really nice shaded walk with a really nice view of the river. People here have been mostly respectful but a few have left their doggie bags or simply have not picked up after their dogs. Otherwise, the park is really nice. There is a playground right by it which makes it even more family friendly. Note that parking is limited.”

“My husband and I stayed for the weekend in the hillside geodesic dome and it was truly what dreams are made of. You will not be disappointed! The dome is very cozy and comfortable, it has a heater and a light as well as running water and a flushing toilet. The park is absolutely breathtaking and peaceful. Also less than ten minutes from the beautiful town deep river and all it has to offer. We kayaked down at the beach and it was perfect for us as beginners, calm and shallow. The views are spectacular. Seriously you have to go! The management and staff are so kind and accommodating. We will be back. Thank you Juan!! We appreciate everything you've done to make our stay so wonderful. You have no idea how much we needed it.”
