Ash Grove Inn

Very happy with this experience. Service was friendly and quick and they had vegetarian options, I wasn’t stuck ordering a beyond burger because that was all they had! The Buffalo cauliflower wrap was great!

Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Pet friendly for our little Yorkie. Great view of Barry's Bay and food from the restaurant was amazing! We ordered the Liver dinner and Roasted Mushroom Ravioli. Delish!

I am very impressed with the Ash Grove Inn!

Booking a room over the phone took about 5 minutes. The person on the phone was very professional and answered all my questions. When I arrived an hour before check - in my room was ready. I was a Room Attendant in Toronto and have high standards regarding cleanliness. I was impressed. The bathroom was very clean, heater worked well and not too loud ,as some can be, the beds were soo comfortable.

The restaurant attached also exceeded my expectations. I called the front desk to order pick up as the seating area looked busy. A nice quiet meal in my room after a long day was better for me anyways. I ordered the Pineapple Chicken and received a call in my room 20 min later it was ready for pick up. Well...I don't even know what to say, but it was delicious!! The chicken breasts were big but man were they juicy and flavourful!!! Mash potatoes had great flavor to them and the vegetables were a bit hard but not too hard. I like that better because you know the nutrients haven't been boiled out of them. Next was desert, I LOVE chocolate cake! And so I ordered a slice. It was so big, moist, and as full as I was from my big dinner, I had to finish it!!
Just came back from breakfast, and again, the food was great! The waitress is always attentive, you will never have an empty coffee cup. My bacon was perfect, eggs done the way I like them, hash browns are delicious, non greasy.

The Ash Grove Inn certainly does not need this review, their reputation in this town is of excellent service, fabulous food and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the Ash Grove Inn for overnight stays or just a meal along your journey.

Very reasonably priced place. Two can have a breakfast for $30-35. The cuisine is just regular Canadian but slightly oversalted. Available eggs, omelette (tasty one), fries, pancakes along with some salads. They also serve coffee with milk.
There is a beautiful patio, where you can eat and enjoy fresh air (pets 🐩 are welcome). Also there is a dock across the road with 4 chairs to chill and feel the beautiful views.
Really nice and cute place to have a breakfast. I would definitely come back for another breakfast and recommend you to try it!
