“Clean, comfortable, well equipped, good location, good price. The only thing that made me worry and why I am not giving 5 stars was receptionist wrote down my credit card number saying he needs it for security deposit and that every hotel does that. I am really not sure that it is common practice and going to call my bank and ask about this huge security issue.”

“This was a decent hotel with comfortable beds. Buyer be aware however that at the time of this review the website says they have a continental breakfast, they are no longer doing this and should update that information. The price was okay for off season. There are no reasons to not recommend this as a place to stay.”

“What a delightful place! We were greeted warmly by Jim, our host, and offered glasses of very good wine. The house is spotless with very nicely appointed rooms. We had a late start in the morning and couldn't enjoy the continental breakfast but I know it would have been excellent. Thanks Jim, for your hospitality........we recommend Daniel House highly!”

“My partner and I got caught in a blizzard on New Year's Eve, and had to quickly find a place to stay. Andy and Mary Anne are the kindest hosts we have had the pleasure to meet. Although our stay was unexpected, they prepared a room for us upstairs, with Netflix already open on the TV. They were quick to offer to make us a lovely meal (although we refused, at which point they kindly suggested various restaurants nearby). The house itself is SPECTACULAR! The room was massive, had been cleaned very well, and had a very comfortable bed. In the morning, we entered the kitchen to find a delicious breakfast prepared. The owners are very respectful of your presence, but will passionately describe the town and house's history if asked. We strongly suggest this BnB; you won't regret it!
