“Be careful when you choose water view. Very bushy on lots 14, 15, 16, and 17. You can’t see a thing. We walked around after we set up and the best views are 18, 19, 20 and 21 or if your on the opposite side of the road 24, 25 and 26. Next time we go it will definitely be one of them. The camp was very clean and quiet. Well maintained. Bathrooms are cleaned several times a day. Never ran out of toilet paper. Fire wood is expensive there and the ice was out of order.”

“Nice little campground. Well maintained and clean. Very helpful and friendly staff However. The beach is really gross. It’s like you are walking in mud. I literally had mud up to my knees. Also, you will feel very comfortable and almost feel at home if you are from Syria or Iraq or any Mid East country. This place is very popular if you like to wear a hijab.”

McLaren Campground

“This is a great campground in a beautiful location. We had a waterfront no-service site that had an unbeatable view. Staff is friendly and readily switch between English and French. As an opportunity for improvement, there could have been more bathroom facilities for the number of campers at peak season, but I assume that this is temporary since one of the bathroom facilities is being renovated.”
