Widgawa Lodge & Outfitters

Address: Whitefish Falls, ON P0P 2H0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Awesome spot to stay, especially if you're going backcountry camping through Killarney. We camped here the first night and it was the perfect launch spot for our group the next morning. Washrooms, canoe rentals, paddles and life jackets, among many more items. It was a fabulous spot on a very beautiful plot of land. On our return from Killarney we were stranded and Josh was kind enough to assist us in getting back to Widgawa Lodge. All of our experiences with here were wonderful, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.”

Willisville Hiking Trail

Address: Willisville Rd, Sudbury, Unorganized, North Part, ON P0P, Canada

Park

“Very steep and rocky. Only go if you are in good shape and can balance well. However, if you are able the view is spectacular. If the hike seems too difficult drive a bit further up Willisville rd and there will be a pull off on the right hand side. From there, you can see a beautiful view of the highway and surrounding area.”

Halfway Lake Provincial Park

Address: Old Cartier Rd, Levack, ON P0M 2C0, Canada

Park

“We were pleasantly surprised with the beauty of this park! It’s not very well known compared to some of the larger provincial parks but the trails and swimming areas were fantastic. Most of the sites were occupied by RVs but we were one of the few who pitched tents. Washrooms were very clean during the pandemic which we appreciated. The beach areas were lovely with great views of the coniferous trees. It was shallow for a long stretch, perfect for those who like to play frisbee or football! You could hear the highway faintly but it didn’t take away from the experience in my opinion. We hiked the Osprey Heights trail during our stay and it was quite the trek! A bit of difficult uphill climbing and could be dangerous if wet but well worth the hike overall. The lookout point was a great place to stop for lunch. I just wish there was more than one picnic table our lunchtime overlapped with another couple. It took about 3 hours to complete the entire hike, including the time it took us to stop and eat.”

“Someone said it's worth the drive and it certainly was. Awesome service no detail left undone. We rented a boat for the day and weren't skunked fresh fish for dinner. ATV some of the best we have done in Ontario clean washrooms and the showers were excellent. Great views very peaceful. Snuck a peak in the cottages we will return Thanks so much for the relaxing few days off ?”

Chiniguchi Waterway Provincial Park

Address: Sudbury, Unorganized, North Part, ON P0M, Canada

Park

“A fantastic place for remote canoeing. Most of the park is considered Crown land, and does not require permits (except for the Sturgeon River section). Often claimed as the Kilarney park for those who do not want the crowds!”
