Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“We accidently found this hidden gem approximately 13 years ago and have only missed a few years. Pat, Mary and Neil are such awesome, helpful and friendly people and their extended family as well. The showers, bathrooms and laundromat are very clean. So convenient to be able to launch our kayaks there, right in front of our camper or take a swim off the dock. The views are breathtaking. You can walk into the quaint town of Killarney and shop or eat at a local restaurant. This summer Killarney had a fish fry and dance, so wonderful to see this town get together. Lots of great hikes nearby and other spots to launch your watercraft. We enjoy ourself so much, we will return again and again. We highly recommend Rogues Marina and campground. 😊 C&B Best”

“Awesome spot to stay, especially if you're going backcountry camping through Killarney. We camped here the first night and it was the perfect launch spot for our group the next morning. Washrooms, canoe rentals, paddles and life jackets, among many more items. It was a fabulous spot on a very beautiful plot of land. On our return from Killarney we were stranded and Josh was kind enough to assist us in getting back to Widgawa Lodge. All of our experiences with here were wonderful, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.”

Willisville Hiking Trail

Address: Willisville Rd, Sudbury, Unorganized, North Part, ON P0P, Canada

Park

“Very steep and rocky. Only go if you are in good shape and can balance well. However, if you are able the view is spectacular. If the hike seems too difficult drive a bit further up Willisville rd and there will be a pull off on the right hand side. From there, you can see a beautiful view of the highway and surrounding area.”

Halfway Lake Provincial Park

Address: Old Cartier Rd, Levack, ON P0M 2C0, Canada

Park

“We were pleasantly surprised with the beauty of this park! It’s not very well known compared to some of the larger provincial parks but the trails and swimming areas were fantastic. Most of the sites were occupied by RVs but we were one of the few who pitched tents. Washrooms were very clean during the pandemic which we appreciated. The beach areas were lovely with great views of the coniferous trees. It was shallow for a long stretch, perfect for those who like to play frisbee or football! You could hear the highway faintly but it didn’t take away from the experience in my opinion. We hiked the Osprey Heights trail during our stay and it was quite the trek! A bit of difficult uphill climbing and could be dangerous if wet but well worth the hike overall. The lookout point was a great place to stop for lunch. I just wish there was more than one picnic table our lunchtime overlapped with another couple. It took about 3 hours to complete the entire hike, including the time it took us to stop and eat.”

Snuck a peak in the cottages we will return Thanks so much for the relaxing few days off ?”

My timing was short, so the team immediately drove the water filter to the post office and I had the gear the next day! They also had good pricing. Overall, great gear selection, price and amazing employees. Thank you!!”

Good electrical power and clean water. Boat docks are very safe and clean. Beach area was being cleaned and raked over for the weekend arrivals. I managed to get some nice Smallmouth, Largemouth and Pike over the stay. I highly recommend this place for a vacation or just stop over for a few nights.”

Rockport Camp Cottages & Trailer Park

Address: 710 Lake Rd, St.-Charles, ON P0M 2W0, Canada

“We have just recently camped at Rockport this past weekend and the hosts Violet, Richard and Marta are such fantastic people. This is a beautiful campground, well maintained and very clean. They have horse shoe pits, basket ball net/court, a volley ball net set up in a grassy area and a ping pong table in the garage. You are sure to find something to please everyone. Nice smaller beach with a floating dock. We rented a boat for the day for a very modest price and caught a couple pickerel and a couple pike...they weren’t keepers but the thrill of the catch was better than being skunked! It rained A LOT on the Saturday early afternoon and into the night and Richard came to lend us an outdoor mat to put out front of the RV - thank you so much for that Richard it was very much appreciated! We all enjoyed our time at Rockport even if it was only for a weekend. We will definitely be back here. I didn’t get a chance to say good bye to you Violet as the rain was torrential when we were packing up to leave, I just want to say thank you for making our stay a very pleasant experience. Enjoy the rest of your summer! See you soon hopefully. P.S. The donut was amazing!”

“Kevin and Donna are taking a very good care of this gorgeous family oriented park. They offer few decent cottages, sites for camping and trailers. The cottages are neat and clean as well as public washroom and a shower. Big and open swimming area is a paradise for kids. It's accommodate a shallow area for little dippers and a slide for experienced swimmers. We love this place and staying there for the last six seasons. It's very nice quiet and peaceful place.”
