Absolutely love this place! It may seem small, but there's a huge variety of unique and interesting plants to see.

The cactus gardens were closed to the public during my visit in January 2020 due to a structural issue with the glass ceiling, but the view from the entryway is certainly worth checking out.

When my sister and I went to visit it was closed due to Covid even though google said it was open. Met the Curator and another lovely lady who informed me of all the super cool things they do (like gardening and harvesting) with children during the summer and fall, the plants and fruit trees you get to see, the cacti area (which I really wanted to see) and the bees! Because I couldn’t go in, they informed me of other things to check out in the nearby parks, and about the honey bees /hives they have. My experience went from sad to miss out on an experience; to being enriched by conversing with the two ladies and being able to fall in love with a whole new part of Thunder Bay! Thank you for changing a negative experience into something I will never forget

Wide selection of plants and trees from all around the world. Warm humid environment even on -40 bone-dry days outside. Water features and well maintained paths add to the experience. Lots of panes letting in natural light. Can be crowded in midday on weekends, try to go at a less popular time if you want more space to explore.

A hidden jewel of Thunder Bay! Delightful visits into the conservatory brings you up close to beautiful flora from various countries around the world and locally.
Walking paths with a variety to see and benches for stopping and enjoying the views.
It's a small but mighty conservatory - a great place to visit, to relax, to see the proof that true beauty always grows from within.

Absolutely beautiful. It generally shouldn't take too long to get through as it isn't that big, but if you take the time to really look at different plants, you could easily get lost through a world of plants. Easy to find, lots of parking, good outdoor space around the area and lots of opportunities for some interesting photos. Learned the names of some plants found daily and discovered new species as well.
