Original Grill on Danforth (OGD)

This was our third time back at Original Grill to have a family dinner and we will continue to come back. The food prices have gone up but wow the portions that was given to us definitely matched the price we paid! We ordered two fried calamari appetizers between four adults and it was addictively delicious. I had a small grilled calamari salad and my gosh I was stuffed after I finished my bowl of salad!! The grilled calamari were grilled to perfection because it was just right to the taste and not like rubber. We were all so full that we had to pack some of our leftovers to bring back home.
I don't know why this place is not packed because their food and service are both very up to par. The manager came out to take our orders and was quite a nice man. He said this is a new restaurant and he hope to have the business pick up more. I hope he will have more customers coming to support new businesses like his.

I liked the food very much and took my time to enjoy it. It was a generous portion and delicious! I don't usually like salads in Canada, but theirs was quite good.

There's also an open French window in the summer that my friends and I sat by. Quite a nice spot for dinner with a vibrant neighborhood view.

Would have given them a 4.5 if that was an option. We’re looking for a new Greek spot to go for lunch and found this gem. I had the loaded gun (pork and chicken with yam fries!) and the OG, and a buddy had the hook up, and we shared the OG Fries (Greek fries) they were all great. Also nice and helpful staff. I’ll definitely go back.

The OGD, it's a winner. I had the Greek Hook-Up and my colleagues both had the loaded gun and we split Greek fries. The Greek hook-up is a pork gyro, flavor is on point and its a decent size. The loaded gun was a pork/chicken gyro, both of them like it. The fries had feta and lemon sauce, they were nice and crispy. I will be back.
