“This is an amazing bookstore. It's one of my favourites in the city by far. They have a great section for fiction and literature, and I really like their philosophy and religion section as well. I just like walking in there with no plans and browsing forever and I always find good stuff.”

“Absolute HEAVEN. It is impossible to leave without finding at least one treasure for a reasonable price. This shop has an extensive collection of first editions, signed editions, and vintage books from all genres. It took an immense amount of self-restraint not to spend all my money. The shop owner is also incredibly enthusiastic, helpful, and kind. I will definitely be visiting again! (And again... And again...)”

“BMV is my only go-to spot when I’m looking for something to read regardless of genre and topic - I walk out with a gold find every time I go in there! It’s all categorized well and sectioned clearly and the staff is always pleasant as well. With the pandemic - it is a GREAT place to find something to expand your mind and knowledge!”

“I just love this place. If I could ask for a second home, it would be here, to be surrounded by manga from floor to ceiling. Always a great experience, even when just browsing. Also, I had a good laugh at the one star reviews. They sound like self-entitled brats and boomers ?”

“I have been to this coin shop 2 times and it is the best shop I have ever been too, the owner is such a nice guy and is very knowledgeable about numismatics,I bought a coin and he told me everything I needed to know about the coin. He also has a great amount of awesome books for great prices!”

“A Wistful world. This is the place for lovers of old books. The owner kindly introduced me to all the sections I was looking for. They don't have the widest range of selections but it's definitely possible to pick up a few gems. I went in with the explicit purpose of looking for coffee table books on art and design and was not disappointed. While I understand the value of these old books, seeing how many of the original prices are in Euros and how there's likely very few copies of them worldwide, the prices are still a bit steep compared to other bookstores. Overall, a fantastic fantasy place!”

“This bookstore is such an amazing addition to the neighborhood! I really appreciate the breadth of selection in the store and when items I want are unavailable, the owner is happy to order it in for me. You can’t get more personal than that! Plus, with all the craziness of the pandemic, they did an amazing job of transitioning to delivery (that was really speedy). Now that the store has reopened, I feel safe coming in to the store. They ask for one family at a time, ask for customers to wear masks, and have a plexiglass barrier up at the cash.”

“This is a great place to go for children's books that gently deal with some topics that can be tough or uncomfortable or not often seen in kidss books. Things like "I feel angry", or "Something happened in my town" (about racism), and a number of books on same sex, mixed-race or single parents, immigrant families. Also a great selection of nature books for kids.. And a large stock of parenting books on a wide variety of topics. It looks small, but has great selection.”

“Wow, that's all I can say about this Book store! They have so much amazing nautical and commercial literature. Including nautical maps, books, navigational aides, navigation kits, International Maritime Standards books, marine engineering books and so much more. The beautifully selected collection of internationally sourced materials is probably one of the most comprehensive treasure troves of marine literature I have ever seen in one place, anywhere! If you are a sailor, mariner, marine enthusiast, or collector this book store is a MUST visit destination. This store also has a tremendous selection of Marine Engineering, building, repair & other handy books related to construction, design and maintenance of a wide variety of boats and yachts. Not to mention the conveniently located Tim Hortons on the corner :) Highly recommended Marine resource book store! They have some pretty serious literature on many aspects of boating sourced from all over the World. Their pricing is very reasonable. Go there!”
