“I had Fatima as a personal trainer, and let me tell you, she was awesome. Perfect balance of understanding my limits and working with them, and pushing me to put in all my effort. Going in my goal was to learn proper form, what areas to focus on when lifting weights, and the importance of having variety in your workout regimen. She would even remind me to drink my water after I had mentioned to her how awful I was at remembering to. Overall, Fatima is very easy to get along with, gives the right amount of motivation based on your comfort levels, and the proof is in the results. Very thankful for all her help. Price wise, it is completely worth every dollar for the level of expertise, professionally, and quality of care that not only Fatima, but the whole team had shown me during my visits. The space has a very woodsy-canadian outdoors vibe, which I love, and a very family friendly feel. The staff and their visitors all joke around, the decor is on point, the change rooms are great, they have a sauna.... I mean, they even make smoothies. Come on. Who doesn't love a smoothie? They also have really nice apparel that I'll be purchasing in the future once I get the ball rolling with my design work. You can tell it is well made and the saying they have on them are either motivators or work out jokes, love that. Thinking of joining? Just do it. If the price seems up there, just know you are paying for quality service and an overall positive experience. Highly recommend.”

“I'm reluctantly doing this review because it's my favourite spot in the city and I don't want the secret to get out! The coffee is wonderful and earthy (Ethiopian roasts are less acidic, I find, which I prefer) a good array of pastries and the place has a light whiff of freshly roasted, buttery, coffee. Low on Hipsters (a plus for me ;) and plenty of long, natural wood tables to settle into a bit of work, reading or a conversation with friends. Lots of natural light and also beautifully lit. Few places in the city are owned by people who come from the places where the coffee is actually grown, so Mofer, is also unique in that way. Plus the owners are wonderful, friendly people. And that fireplace is super cozy!”

“My son and I made our first trip to Punto Gelato on a whim. He got a kiddie cup of strawberry gelato and I got pistachio and dark chocolate. The strawberry was fresh-tasting and a little tart, very close to an actual strawberry. My son thought it was delicious and was especially excited about the mini cone they served on top. My pistachio was rich and smooth, and the dark chocolate was one of the best I've tasted. The cocoa flavour really came though and it wasn't overly sweet. The service was friendly and attentive. We will be visiting again.”

“This is a fairly typical Starbucks with its mixture of students writing assignments, business people doing work, couples gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes, and friends reminiscing about good times. (The citrus defender has become my absolute Starbucks favourite drink, by the way). This one can be busy but I like the atmosphere. When busy it can be loud making it difficult to hear conversations opposite you.”

“Stopped in today and am so glad I did. Great relaxing atmosphere and super clean. Was worried about bringing my toddler and baby in but it was nice and roomy for my stroller.
