“I don't see what the other reviewers got worked up about, the staff only brutalize us once every Thursday. And with their bare hands, would you believe it? Better than a bat or something! 10/10. I'd come here again.”

“I enjoyed going here when I was a teen which was about 9 years ago, it seems a lot has changed since then and that's disappointing. I do enjoy taking my girl to the track to run and play, there's sand pits and it's kept very clean.”

“I have had three children at this school (two still attending) so far out of 4. I have had mixed experiences. The current VP Mr. Lavoie, I can attest is absolutely amazing and 100% has a students success as his #1 priority and for that he has my respect. However, the current principle Mrs. Robbilard (however it’s spelt) has recently told my daughter she is a troubled student and it’s going to take time for people to trust her anymore. My daughter just moved home from an abusive situation 8 months ago and had missed over 100 days each semester in her old school (Rockland, Ontario). She is now not skipping classes at this school (missed a number of classes with one teacher/subject last semester due to that one teacher being problematic; apparently a lot of students have issues with this same teacher, but she did good at her other three classes) so her ignorant comments towards my child are completely unwarranted and unacceptable. Personally if she has an issue with my kid then she can address it with me. There is also a retired Principle Keith Haycock that continues to visit that school and is harassing my daughter which is also unacceptable. There have been a number of teachers I have met as well as student guidance councillors etc that are absolutely amazing so I don’t want to make it appear it’s a bad school just because of three individuals but they are almost bad enough to question things. I have noted a normal amount of bullying but find that when the school is notified it does take quick action against it. The programs that are available are amazing and so refreshing to see. I would just like to see an improvement in how adults speak to students especially ones they chose to deem “troubled”.”

“We feel fortunate that we found Kanata Academy for our children to attend. The school has been always able to meet the learning needs of both our children even though they are very different learners. Our son is a proud graduate and the principal and teachers worked hard to ensure that his learning differences were met so that he could reach his full potential. We are proud that he was accepted into all of the university programs that he applied to! Our daughter has enjoyed the small class sizes and the genuine interest that the teachers take in their students. The open communication between the principal and teachers and the parents is always appreciated and helps make sure that each student's needs are best met. All in all, we feel confident that we made the right choice in choosing Kanata Academy for our children!”

“Good school with great supportive teachers and a principal that knows what he's doing. Lots of class options and a very diverse (though small) school. Various different state-of-the-art classrooms including a robotics lab, a nice gym and all the other classes that would be expected (music class, science lab, etc.). Offers international baccalaureate which is nice and no bullying from what i can tell. Over all a great full french school in a nice area (good restaurants near by).”

“This is an excellent Learning. I loved every thing about this place. The initial diagnostic test was very help helpful in that it identified my son's weakness. The weekly workbooks are fun and attractive to work with. Weekly tests ensure that key concepts have been taught properly. We are planning to keep our son for as long as we live in the area.”

“I cannot say enough about St-Laurent Academy. My daughter has been attending for about three and a half years and I feel so fortunate that she is in such an encouraging, supportive and most important challenging environment. The teachers are exceptional, the administration responsive and the resource support go "above and beyond" to ensure both the mental health and academic are appropriately balanced. This school is the real deal and gets it right.”

“The Element is a pretty good concept of a school. It lets students work on whatever they want whenever they want, and gives out great freedom. Students can enrich themselves on whatever they want! Conversely, they lack structure. When issues are presented or if a student reaches out for a solution, they are not always addressed. Furthermore, the school pushes a left-wing mindset on its students. For what it is, the school is good, but do not come in expecting a giant social life; there are very few students. The open concept of the school is also pretty cool.”

“I've attended this school for longer then I was supposed to (Reason of my own). The staff haven't given up on me and strive to help me graduate. Each teacher will personally help students who are struggling in class and the Guidance Counsellors are the best. During my first years of attending, I was repeatedly pushed to join the football team. Looking back at it, I should have. There's no question, if you want your kid to get great education and have a fun time in high school, this school is for you.”

“TUSGU has many amazing programs for students in need of extra help. I have seen man students improve drastically thanks to the help of the dedicated teachers and staff at TUSGU. I would highly recommend to any parent who is looking to find a service that will help their children improve, as well as learn the values of education.
