Our cottage was clean and well equipped and the service provided by Rose, the owner, was amazing and she treated us like a long lost friend. We went for a week with 4 siblings and their spouses. “My wife, two daughters (11 and 10), and I spent the morning at Hope River Farm, and it was as pleasant an experience as visiting a favorite cousin. I honestly learned a lot about farming. The work was mostly feeding animals and helping with their various quarters (spreading wood chip bedding for turkey chicks, etc.) It was just the right amount of actual "work." My kids felt a sense of accomplishment and were never bored or distracted during the two-hour tour. Highly recommended!”

“We just came back from our one week stay in the cottages. Loved it so much and would definitely love to return! As previously mentioned by most reviewers, the owner Larry went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of amazing. We experienced a few internet connection issues on the first day and Larry had the issues resolved immediately. I loved the rustic feel of the cottage and the views from the deck were breathtaking. The kids loved spending the majority of time in the spotless pool. We also spent one night in the newly renovated motel room, which was so cozy and clean. I hope to return again, I’ve got my eye on that suite!”

“I went this weekend with my daughters as part of my eldest daughter’s 40th surprise birthday weekend. From the moment we arrived, Nancy and her daughter Deanna were attentive and accommodating, warm, friendly, and professional. We were treated to the best pedicures and facials ever! The location in the middle of the woods is cozy and relaxing, and the view from the treatment room was stunning. “After realizing we did not have a turkey for an upcoming (and hastily organized) holiday dinner I called Larkin Bros. hoping against hope that they would have a bird available for purchase. I spoke with Lincoln (spelling?) on the phone and he did indeed have some large birds left for purchase. After declining to take payment over the phone he set one aside for my wife to pick up later that afternoon. First time purchasing from these folks but we will definitely be returning next year, albeit earlier than December 1.”
