We popped into Just Johnny’s for a quick drink on our way somewhere and left wishing we could stay all night. The staff here are so kind and funny; it felt like a big family being there. The patio is lovely and there are space heaters so we enjoyed it comfortably even though it was getting chilly out. It’s clear they really appreciate their customers and, we learned, they also appreciate local music and musicians! The space is great and the vibes are excellent. We will definitely be back!
We were getting into Cavendish late one evening and most restaurants were closed. Just Johnny’s was still open so we gave it a shot. Convenient that they are open late, prices are very high, serving size is very small and food is mediocre. We got the lobster roll and fries, for two people we spent $75 and left still hungry. Compared to other places serving lobster roll on the island I feel we got ripped off. Seeing other lobster roll, the buns are full and they aren’t served on hot dog buns like Just Johnnys. The flavour was good, just not worth the price considering we had to go back to our cottage and make more food. If you’re looking for something cost effective and a good size meal, this isn’t the place. If you’re looking for nice people and loud music and don’t really care what you’re spending or getting in terms of food- give it a shot. For this price they should have table service at the very least.
You order at the counter, and pick up at the counter. It's clean and modern but no atmosphere. Lobster roll was $28. For 2 lobster rolls and 2 Pepsi in the can (no glass) was over $70. I felt like for that price we should get table service and a glass. Lobster roll was good, but not a lot of Lobster. Comes with a handful of fries.
It is a nice family run business, it seems, and the best part is they are open longer than most of the places on the island. I tried their lobster roll, which was one of the best ones I had. The lobster was fresh, and it had flavor. The bun was soft, and it was nicely balanced. It was for $28, so a little pricey, but I guess fresh sea food is expensive. Well kept place and fast service. The beer on tap is also good.
