“This cottages are clean and cosy, really close to the beach and Cavendish’s must sees. It’s quiet on the evenings and the swimming pool is the cherry of the cake ! Beside that, Seaside Cottage is a real gem due to the owners ! They’re the sweetest and most helpful people I met on PEI. They really know the area, probably because they own the cottage since 3 generations, and can give you many advices ! “Excellent local restaurant in the heart of Cavendish! Portions are large, and there are plenty of vegan/vegetarian and gluten free options available. Their patio has two levels, so lots of room to enjoy the sunshine with a local beverage and fresh lobster. They also have high chairs and coloring/crayon activities for children. Strongly recommend the red pepper dip to share with friends. Their fish and chips are generously portioned with big slabs of fish and great fries! Burrito bowl is just fair - would have liked the beans and rice to be warmer so it would help melt the shredded cheese but it was still tasty with their "comeback sauce". Overall a nice dine-in option when you're in the area visiting or on vacation.”

The course itself is beautiful, well maintained, very kid-friendly with varying degrees of difficulty (but nothing too hard). The lack of fencing at each hole can be frustrating because you need to be careful and not putt too hard into the next hole but this can be mitigated by strategically putting.”

“A cold September, after storm Lee found us in this area looking for places to visit: fortunately the tourists were gone which meant that very few places were open according to this website, gracefully detailing even opening times. We found this place and with only one table taken we were wondering how the food is going to be? The staff was simply amazing and our food was just great: we all had sea food which is so fresh in this area and great value for money. Great place, great staff.”

“We loved our time here! We booked through their website, everything was very clear. When our ETA was after 8pm, I called and he just left the key in the cabin for us. The owners were around all day and are super friendly! Our cabin was clean, it has a wonderful new deck we sat out on all the time. Plenty of kitchenware. A/C struggled, but it was uncharacteristically hot that weekend!! Hot water was hit or miss, but it was always at least warm enough. Pool and hot tub were clean. Hot tub is older, jets aren't super strong, but that didn't stop us from relaxing in it! Location is great for the music festival, we walked there everyday (1 km) and there is also a water park next door. Easy drive to other attractions, we took a nice scenic ride. We are looking forward to returning if they hold the Sommo festival again!”

“Wow! The BEST and freshest lobster meal around! Melt in your mouth and cooked to order! AND, we were the last official customers of the season! Adam was our server and he was AWESOME! “A welcome change to the Cavendish restaurant scene! I hadn't been home from Toronto in 4 years and had heard lots about lone oak and finally got to experience it this year. Hits all of my wants/needs when visiting a Cavendish restaurant - Outdoor, but covered. Simple, well executed menu. Fast service. GREAT quality. We were seated for no less than 1 minute when our server came over and apologized for the wait. We ordered our drinks (a beer flight and a 16oz draft) and they arrived moments later. Our food arrived no less than 7 minutes after that. We each ordered the fish fry which was phenomenal, honestly though we could have shared one. There was so much food. Be sure to also check out their little merch/bottle shop. Lots to take home!”

“Food here is great. They have a nice selection of different beaver tail toppings. My family loves the Avalanche, but we have not tried one we didn't like. They also have fries, poutines and hotdogs (with a beaver tail bun!). Service is always fast and friendly here. If you have not tried one, I definitely recommend stopping by.”

“Great location but the cottages and grounds need some maintenance carried out. It's obvious that a new owner has taken over and not kept up on maintenance. It seemed like almost everything we touched fell apart: the handle on the BBQ, half of bbq only worked, drawers in the kitchen, the stove etc. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay but needs some work. The office area is a disaster, a total mess. The owner's son (assuming) was working the desk and was not helpful at all in answering our questions and gave off a strange vibe. The owner was very responsive to my questions via text and accommodated an early check in and late check out. The outdoor play area is nice and open but could also use some general maintenance along with the pool area. We loved that each cottage had it's own fire pit, however the fire pit was the lid of a bbq (aluminum) and quickly fell apart after having a fire in it one night. I would stay here again if nothing else was available.”

“If you're looking for classic Canadian-Chinese food in Cavendish, this is the place to go. I wanted a break from all the seafood I was eating and was pleasantly suprised to find how good this place is. Food is tasty, portions are pretty big and reasonably priced. The service staff is friendly and attentive. I had the chicken balls, beef and broccoli, fried rice and chop suey. So good that I ate the leftovers on the beach the next day! Will be returning next summer for more.”

Working in fast food in a tourist heavy area isn't an easy task and they kept their cool, they kept happy attitudes, and they were kind even when my husband and I came in 15 mins before close, which neither of us would normally want to do, having worked in the food industry both ourselves. They were quick and kind though and it was much appreciated!”

Visited on the last day and they gave us extra fries and water after a hot day at the beach it was a nice added touch. “We have stayed at Fairways three times now, and we will be returning. The cottages and property are meticulously maintained and cared for. The staff is kind and prompt. They have laundry on site, multiple playgrounds, a pool, fire pits, and each cottage has their own BBQ. There is plenty to keep kids and adults alike busy! Stay here. You won't regret it!”
