First time glamping and the Red Fox was an amazing first experience! The washrooms were wonderfully clean and the tents had a little side table with charging ports, a lamp and a fan. The only thing was the laundry soap that they use for the sheets was strongly scented and that may bother people with scent sensitivities.
I normally don't leave reviews but when I do, usually it's because either the place is really bad or really good, and this place belongs to REALLY GOOD!! Probably the BEST one I've evern been throughout my east coast Canadian camping road trip! Not only this place is equipped with nice camping spots, the washrooms and the showers are on next level - it's luxury compared to other campsites in the East coast. The owner is also super nice, and she makes you feel very comfortable and welcomed here! will definitely return next time when I am in PEI!
I loved my time at The Red Fox Campground. The camping spots were were perfect for hanging hammocks and shade. The location was central to lots of nice beaches and near the provincial park. The owners are super friendly. I love the fire pit area under the stars and you can even get a glimpse of the aurora borealis with a long exposure on your camera. I'll definitely be back here next time I want to have a little beach getaway. It was very easy for me to have my dog here.
Stay this past weekend for 3 nights. Was wonderful. Owners were fantastic and welcoming. Waves and smiles. Totally up for a friendly chat. Far enough from the main road that you do not get traffic noise and the wooded sites are nicely shaded. The washroom and shower facilities are centrally located and kept very clean. Even though it was the cavendish music festival weekend and many other campers; myself included, were there for the festival it was a relatively laid back and respectful location. Anyone who has camped for a music festival knows that's a hard task for a location to accomplish. They nailed it. Site rules were what is normally expected. I enjoyed the fact that even though I was attending the festival I could retreat to the camp ground and relax. I've camped all over Canada and this is truly a gem if you want a location to base your adventures on the island from. I would highly recommend and would return again no question.
The Red Fox Campground is a truly special place. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained- certainly some of the best hot showers I’ve experienced while camping hands down! The location is beautiful, fire pits are communal so there’s lots of opportunity to meet people. We stayed at an unserviced campsite and had the most amazing weekend. Huge shoutout to Robbie for being the kindest and coolest owner possible- him and the woman who run it were nothing short of incredibly accommodating, letting us charge our phones and devices in the office and ensuring we had enough firewood and bug spray. Can’t wait to come back ❤️
