Volunteer staff base restaurant!! All the profit goes to help others. Great ambiance!! Excellent dishes to eat by yourself or with a friend. Live music and the have the stress away room (break your problems inside, recovering your peaceful face with some destruction) Enjoy!!!
I really love the concept of the restaurant and prefer to support organizations with a social mission aligned with my own. Overall I had a good lunch here, with some comments:
1) My waitress was perhaps new or having a bad day, but she didn't seem thrilled to be there; she seemed a bit impatient, she spoke very low and didn't smile at all. It happens.
2) Prices are average, I had a soupe-repas with no drinks and it came to about $20.
3) Food and ingredients were great and fresh. Tofu is excellent. Coconut Milk broth is legit. I'd prefer some more "traditional" (Asian) ingredients in the Asian soup, though. Lemon water is a nice touch.
All in all, I liked this place and I'd go back and update my review when I do.
We were instantly greeted by such nice and welcoming staff, seated us in seconds.
Sunlight streaming into the restaurant, comfortable seats, wide open-air atmosphere.
Food was absolutely delicious!
Will definitely be coming back again soon.
This place is incredible. It's a "for social profit" restaurant that donates 100% of its earnings to non-profits that help people in need in Montreal. The staff are all volunteers, so it's a really unique experience where you're actively participating in helping your neighbourhood by going there.
Good and tasty food. The decor is also great, few unmatched chairs gives something special about the place. You can smash your dining plates on a room next door for a small fee. Be patient with the service, they all are volunteers.
