Beauty's Restaurant

Beauty's is a landmark. Not only is it one of the oldest breakfast places, it is in fact THE BEST in all categories: price, food, service, ambience. It really is incredible. The servers are always familiar (which is a good sign) and it really is just the best place.

Great service. It looks amazing since it's been renovated. Food is as always delicious, but not so reasonably priced and prices are not always listed.

$8 for a smoothie or milkshake seems steep. They don't have prices for the beverages on their menu, with the exception of the fresh OJ and smoothies/milkshakes. If I knew I'd be paying $3 for flavorless drip coffee, I wouldn't have ordered it no matter how many free refills! I may as well just drink water. They have an espresso machine too, but again, no prices.

Went on a Wednesday afternoon and took us 10 mins waiting time to be seated inside (not bad at all). Food was very delicious. Especially the pancakes were heavenly (lived up to the hype). I ordered a veggie melt sandwich, a mushroom omelet and was satisfied. Their smoothies don't use artificial ingredients, just the real deal. Must visit for an amazing diner experience. Service was very good too.

A less claustrophobic space following their complete renovation. Tables and comfy chairs replacing the centre booths. Food is still as good as ever - if you liked it before you'll like it now.

Oh and regarding a comment below: they cook their bacon "kosher style," which is to say to a crisp. That's the way my Jewish family made bacon - when they made it - so that's the style.
