We were a party of 8. The food (lobster roll) was bland but okay and the lemonade was one of the best I've had. The presentation of the plates are nice. Others at the table enjoyed their plates but not to the point of being wowed. The only "wow" we got was the octopus salad. One person had issues with her order due to allergies to hot spicy peppers (the waiter was advised to remove the spice prior to ordering) and both times the same order contained the hot spices). The waiter applogized endlessly. Although it was taken care of at the end, the manager was no where to be seen.
It is a matter of expectations and return. Coming to Lucille means spending a reasonable amount of money in exchange for equal or better value in dining experience. The sea bass we had tasted good, but the salad that came with it is not measuring up. Also, the restaurant do not believe in vegetable and do not offer any vegetable side to go with the fish. Surf and turf is okay, but the fries was tiny, with 2 and a half inches size of fries on top covering the smaller sub inches fries at the bottom. The seafood linguini have a great taste profile. The sausages in the pasta matched well. However, the main dish itself is short in portion. It is served with a soup plate and the portion is unreasonable and not friendly. The Calamari side is not generously too.
Everything was great; loved the octopus Greek salad; the octopus was seasoned really nicely. The oysters were $1/each, but fyi they were extremely small oysters. The chocolate dessert was divine with the bottom filled with salted caramel mousse! The online booking for was convenient, and it sent me reminder via email before the booking, as well as asking for my experience after the booking. High price but enjoyable for our annual celebration.
A wonderful atmosphere for group dinners, a little loud for a one on one but still a great vibe. The tartars and steak are delicious and the service is great! We did notice they seemed almost a little over staffed as opposed to under staffed but the experience was perfect and we will definitely be coming back
So let's keep it real... Lucille's Point-Claire has done an incredible job at creating a new fresh environment for couples, families and everything in between to enjoy some surf and turf here in the west. Interior decorating was done to the nines! Absolutely spectacular to dine in such an atmosphere. Diversity of their menu was also great, you definitely have a little something for everyone.
When it comes down to the actual food, it's good. I can't really say I was blown away by anything exactly but absolutely nothing disappointed me taste wise. Pricing how ever is definitely competitive with other restaurants offering seafood options, but still rests a bit too high for my tastes because I would love to come back. For the money I would expect a little more generosity with portions.
Staff were immaculate. Respectable and bubbly personalities all around.
All in all, I can see many coming to Lucille's this Spring and Summer season for a great experience.
