“They try to show the Indigenous side of Montreals rich history and with the right encouragement they can help mend broken relationships with Indigenous and Settler societies.”

“Newly renovated and finally open!! Although a fun way to spend an afternoon I have to say it hasn't changed that much from the last time I was there. Although the Penguins are always a crowd favorite and the tropical section is fun, they have Monkeys and Capybarras!!! the overall experience felt a little too fabricated. Fun as a one time visit but hard in my opinion to get repeat visitors. Although hard with little one it really pays to take your time and really look around, the animals are often not out in the open. Overall a pleasant experience.”

“You come across all of the city's forgotten handcrafted professions. The museum is situated within a church. It's a little pricey when compared to the other museums in town.”

“Une des plus vieille demeure de l’île. Estime à plus de 270 ans. Certain que si ses pierres pouvaient parler nous serions surpris de ce qu’elle nous racontait sur les origine du sault d’avant cartier. Le sault un lieux empreint de mystère à découvrir.”

“The best museum I've visited in a long time. I happened to have a private tour, because I was the only visitor at that time. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Very interesting museum. If you want to know more about the New France, this is the place to go!”

“Lovely grounds and a regal building, with an absolutely fabulous bookstore. If you are an architect or study architecture, I highly recommend making the trip for the bookstore alone. The majority of the building was closed while we visited so that new exhibitions could be installed, but there was enough to see to make it an entertaining visit.”

“This place is a must see in Montreal. You get a great view of the city from a different angle that you get from The Mont Royal. It is easily accessible by metro and bus. You can walk there from the metro station, but it is a walk up the hill and if you are in a hurry the bus will drop you in front of the Oratory. There is a shuttle service available there to take you closer to the entrance (there are several flights of stairs to get to the top). This place is usually super busy, but it's not crowded as Mont Royal. There are several things to see inside the Oratory, and every Sunday afternoon a free concert happens at the main church (really nice! The sound of their organ is majestic!)”
