“Great stop for a breakfast before the going whale watching. It is a relatively tiny shop could be crowded sometimes. The croissants are fresh, puffy and flaky. I liked the almond croissant most. Coffee is good, not outstanding but above average. Service is fast and staff are pleasant. Full marks!”

“1:30pm Zodiac 16 October 2022. Chose a beautiful day. We saw 5 different types of whales inc Belugas which is why I came. We saw a humpback whale breach (jump fully out of the water) right next to the boat. It was really amazing. I love how respectful the naturalist was to have a system of people standing and sitting. While also her English was really great. The narration was mostly French but appreciated the English. The naturalist also said we were very lucky to have so many wildlife encounters and that this was the best tour all year. And for the last few weeks they found a humpback whale and would just follow it on dull cloudy days. I was hesitant to spend the $115 inc tax on the tour but I believe it’s really worth it even if we hadn’t seen any animals. They don’t have a prediction on what is out there. The animals are wild. But I appreciate their patience as they indulged me on these questions. They said on the water it was -15 degrees and to dress appropriately. Im glad I did, but the wind is still very cold. They provide waterproof shells too, jackets and bottom. No shoes. I didn’t get wet at all, but maybe that was the sea-conditions for the day. Had a lovely chicken soup afterwards to warm up. Take precautions if you get seasick! I did and still felt a little sick as I’m sensitive. Enjoy the tour folks!”

“Knowledgeable and friendly guides. Saw 6 belugas, some seals and many other wildlife. During the break, one guide even taught us about the local flora and how it was significant to the survival of the First Nations peoples and early settlers. Equipment was top quality as well. Would definitely recommend. Excellent value. Fantastic experience!”

“Had a good time at this hostel. Stayed 2 nights. $7 for breakfast (coffee, cereals, toasts, make your own pancakes and eggs), $18 for dinner (menu changes daily). Good vibes. Showers were a little sketchy but fine. I slept in the female dorm, room was quite small and the wall plugs are in weird places but everything worked. Music and partying every night but quiet by midnight. Don't expect to sleep in the afternoon/evenings either because of children running in the halls, lots of families come here. Still the best bang for your buck in Tadoussac. Would definitely come back and stay again.”

“We booked last minute for Tadoussac and this was the only option. The reservation asked us what time we will be there and I stated between 3-4. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it until 8pm. The office had a sign saying they charged me and gave me a room with key. The room was open and yes when we came in it was cozy. It was smaller than we expected but it was really clean. The walls are thin and we heard everything coming from the other room. There’s no air conditioning so it gets stuffy. As for the breakfast: they were kind enough to bag us two bags and put them in our room.”

“We really loved our stay here. I can't say enough about how kind Ella and the staff were. The room was clean and comfortable. Located a short walk to restaurants, shops, and of course the breathtaking shoreline. AML cruises have a shuttle practically across the road to get you to and from a whale excursion on the river.
