It is a must try in Forestville and a good place to fill yourself before heading for a long drive. We love everything. The dishes were simple and very family friendly. “Service was nice and warm and so was the food! We took the sausage poutine, the 565 poutine and the crab guédille. Definitely skip the small size for a medium to make it worth the price (for reference : sausage poutine was a small and 565 poutine was a medium). The only con I could find was the amount of flies that are present on site. It's quite unfortunate that the atmosphere is a bit ruined because of them.”

“Unassuming but quaint local spot for classic casse croûte fare. Their all-dressed includes grilled onions (on the burger AND the hot dog!) Big fan of that. Their bbq gravy is beyond dank (in a good way) but maybe choose the ‘sauce brune’ if you’re not feeling adventurous. Personally, I asked for a half-and-half and they gladly obliged this out-of-towner. Other reviews have called out their penchant to prioritize locals, but that’s not the case. They do, however prioritize orders that are called ahead, so keep that in mind if you don’t want to wait too long for your food.”

“We were in the area whale watching and decided on Restaurant du Boisé based on previous reviews. We didn't realize reservations were required when we arrived. Since it was early into the supper hour we thought we would enquire as to seating availability. We got lucky and were seated right away. We realize this is probably an exception to the rule and being low season and a Monday. We couldn't have been happier to get seated and it was greatly appreciated. We both ordered the 10oz striploin with fries, salad and pepper sauce. We also ordered a side of Nordic shrimp with garlic butter. It was all fantastic! Best steak I have had in a restaurant in awhile. Cooked perfectly and the pepper sauce was very tasty as well. I finished my plate before realizing I forgot to take a photo :( We were so full we had no room for what I am sure would have been an awesome dessert. Our server was very patient and helpful as our french is a work in progress. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience !”

“Got the Provençal wasn’t sure if it should be a hand held or knife n fork - a bit too much going on, could do without the balsamic, the fior was cold / cool would’ve preferred it more melted, the veg ratatouille was also lukewarm but the bun was fantastic. No complaints about the crepe. Servers seem to avoid English speaking tables.”

“Things we ordered 1. Vegetarian Pizza (13in) 2. Mimosas Review Visited the place for lunch during our trip. The vegetarian pizza was loaded with veggies and cheese. Mimosas were served with it's ingredients where you make the mimosa yourself based on how you like it. The table had a hidden sub-table that u could pull out to place the pizza. (See pics).
