“The best place to get apples directly from the trees, great for kids and family, lots of activities on site.”

Camping Au Sous-Bois Du Campeur

Address: 1932 Chemin Filteau, Saint-Nicolas, QC G7A 2N4, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“It’s tidy and clean, which we have found to be a typical cultural characteristic of Quebec. The actual individual campsites are tightly packed, the campers on either side of ours are about 12 ft or 4 meters away. The sites a grassy with small gravel along the path of the camper and towing vehicle. The folks at the office have been pleasant. We know very little French but it has not been a problem since one of the office staff speaks English, as do many of our fellow campers, virtually all of whom have Quebec vehicle tags. We were surprised (and disappointed) to find that a sign on the water supply said that we should boil the water before drinking. It’s the first campground we have visited where the “city” water is non-potable. The showers in the bathhouses a very small and do not have a place to sit. The showers have coin boxes which require a one dollar coin for 7 minutes of showering. The bathhouses are very clean and modern. Fees: There is an additional charge of $1.25 CAD for the use of the Wi-Fi. While the campsite itself costs $40 per day (for water, electric, and sewer), there is an additional 10% charge for taxes. Then, factor in the purchase of drinking water (a local Walmart unless you want to boil the tap water). Nevertheless, $45.25 CAD per day is approximately $35 USD due to the favorable currency exchange rate.”

“Just came back from our first experience at Camping at this awesome location! People complaining need to camp in Ontario from 65-75 night! Our spot was fantastic (I recommend C section backing onto the field) we were able to put up our hammock even. Campers were respectful of others and friendly. The pool and kids activities were top notch and the location to Old Quebec could not be beat! We were able to explore and head back to our site for a great evening. Only thing that was disappionting was the $8 charge for wood as it was pretty petite. Overall would recommend to anyone.”

Comfort Inn & Suites

Address: 1394 Route des Rivières, Saint-Nicolas, QC G7A 2N9, Canada

“This is a very nice hotel. To be honest, it's much nicer than what It usually see from the Comfort Inn. It is large and has a lot of amenities. The rooms are large and have beautiful laminated wood floors. The bathrooms are top notch and the shower heads are amazing. There was also a place for us to park with our 30' snowmobile trailer which was a big perk. We had passed by several other hotels because the parking was inadaquate.”

“This place was sold was last year, it is not my company any longer.....the new owners were hands off, I am terribly sorry about your experience over the past year. The restaurant was in concession too, even before we let the sale go. Quality of service and course was always #1 to us.”
