We came to this cute little italian restaurant on a cold winter night because we were craving some comfort carbs! The restaurant has a rustic wooden look with 70’s old school chandeliers. The menu offers many vegan choices which i found interesting, but considering the neighborhood it made sense. We had the vegan pizza and 4 meat lovers pizza. The dough was perfectly crunchy but a little thick. The sauce was well seasoned and the pizza had a good variety of toppings. We also had the fried cod balls which tasted good but they were very small. At one point we got a surprise opera performance from the owner. Overall it was simple yet nice experience but it didn’t leave me wanting more. Perhaps i’d have to try the pasta and see how i feel afterwards!
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice, the service was good.
The food unfortunately is not great… and was not really Italian, The food was bland.
The wine selection was ok.
A Symphony of Flavors at Il Bazzalli
Last night's dining experience at Il Bazzalli was nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance of the restaurant set the perfect stage for an unforgettable evening. The decor was elegant and inviting, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The menu was a delightful journey through Italian cuisine, each dish prepared with exceptional skill and attention to detail. The flavors were rich, authentic, and beautifully presented, making every bite a culinary delight.
What truly set the evening apart was the incredible performance by Chef and Singer Davide. His passion for both food and music shone through, adding a unique and enchanting element to our dining experience. His voice was as exquisite as the dishes he prepared, filling the room with beautiful melodies that enhanced the overall ambiance.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring our evening was perfect in every way. It was evident that they take great pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
In summary, Il Bazzalli is more than just a restaurant; it's a place where culinary art and musical talent come together to create an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an evening of fine dining and enchanting music.
Traditional Italian dishes, well made. Reasonable prices. Also reasonably priced wine list, mostly conservative selections, some private imports. The ambiance is 're-used construction material eclectic', they did not spend a lot on furniture or decor. The cocktails are very good and the service was good/attentive though not high wend refined. The draw here is the chef/owner who is also an opera singer. Our group of 8 went on a Thursday night. The chef sang one song for the restaurant (about 3 minutes). It was a great experience - and that's why we went. But we would have liked our dinner to be interrupted by song more often. I think on another night of the week there was more singing, look for that because once did not feel like it was enough. Recommendation is to go on the day with more singing, because otherwise it is a 'normal' good quality Italian restaurant.
I've hosted two events at this restaurants and both were spectacular. The food was so delicious and fresh, and the impressive wine selection was a huge hit! The service was always impeccable - the most attentive staff. What made the events even more special was the beautiful singing by the chef, Daniele Bazzali. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it is a gem. You will not be disappointed!!
