“We spent the day here. The Welcome Centre was very organized and efficient (though not very friendly). The kayaks we rented were in great shape and pretty close to the dock. You are expected to carry them to the water. The lake is clean and surprisingly warm for a swim. We explored several islands which were designated picnic areas some with a pit toilet. Other islands were reserved for camping. The lake is very popular, and unfortunately there is a lot of boat and motorized sport traffic which whiz right by canoeists and kayakers. It is noisy. I would recommend this spot for group campers who are also making their own noise so won’t mind so much!”
