One of the BEST place to book a camping/mini-lodge weekend!
I went twice, once in a mini lodge and once in a tentsile (like a suspended tent in the trees). We really enjoyed taking the canoe out onto the lake early morning with fog over the water. You can also hike around the forest, and spot wildlife.
++ warm and welcoming owner onsite
Punctual, flexible and very friendly shuttle service up the Picanoc River.
Carpe Diem outfitted our group for a day of cycling on the Veloroute des Draveurs and kayaking/canoeing on the Picanoc River. I rented a bike - it was great quality and like-new condition. The staff were friendly and quick to get everyone ready, adjusting seats and getting bikes out that fit everyone renting. After biking we had lunch there, sandwiches and drinks, then were shuttled upstream to kayak/canoe down the river. Everything was ready for us at the put-in site, and at the end they were there to help us out and transport us back to the shop. The owners/staff are professional, knowledgeable and attentive, looking after all the details so we could enjoy the day. Highly recommended!
Had a fantastic day with Carpe Diem. Had a large group and they rented us bikes in the morning and we rode the Veloroute des Draveurs. We had lunch and then 21 of us went down the Picanoc River on a mix of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.
Great addition to the Veloroute des Draveurs and the town of Gracefield. Super helpful for regional activities, delicious snacks at the cafe. We will be renting their kayaks and drop off services for the Picanoc River - looking forward to it.
