“We are used to more of a grassy type campground and this is mostly rock. But that being said there is a nice bathroom with flush toilets and showers. The shower costs $2 for 10 minutes which was a first for us. The people that work in the check in/store speak very little English but we're very nice and we had fun figuring out what each other was saying. The lake is beautiful and there is a small marina just a short distance down the lake with fuel. Best advice I can give is make sure you have everything you need because it is a drive to get anything.”

“Great place, chalets are well equiped with all the basics. There's everything you need onsite - convinience store, liquor store, restaurant, etc. Fishing on the Baskatong is always fun, it offers a challenge for 1st timers but go see André at the marina and he will point you in the right direction! This was our 6th time at La pointe a David and we will return for a 7th for sure!!”

“Nice place for what it is, as its name suggests, that is to say a place to sleep, clean, calm, rather chic indeed in its decoration of French baroque inspiration (in any case I liked it), well organized (the rules and instructions are well explained on arrival), with the necessary amenities (WiFi, bathroom in each room, shared but separate showers for men and women, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and spacious living rooms, practical terrace and solarium in good weather, TV with cable). Mrs. Francine is present every morning for the cleaning of the common rooms and is very talkative, which is very pleasant. You just have to know that this place is designed for seasonal or temporary workers looking for a dormitory to rest after work, since you have to remain silent at all times. It's not the ideal place for families with small children... it doesn't take away the charm of the place, you just have to be aware of it.”

“One of the BEST place to book a camping/mini-lodge weekend! I went twice, once in a mini lodge and once in a tentsile (like a suspended tent in the trees). We really enjoyed taking the canoe out onto the lake early morning with fog over the water. You can also hike around the forest, and spot wildlife. ++ warm and welcoming owner onsite”
