“Such an amazing place! The train ride is a unique experience, absolutely a must. There are many animals to see in all other areas. The zoo is also an opportunity to see the striking and severe boreal forest up close. I also really appreciated the kids area with the water games and mini farm - it's a great place to have a picnic or an ice cream. There are also picnic tables (some with roofs) throughout the zoo, so it's easy to take a break. Overall, a must see in Lac Saint-Jean area.”

“It was a wonderful zoo ! There was such a wide variety of animals, and they all looked happy ! There was so much more energy with the animals than I've seen in most zoos”

“Newly renovated and finally open!! Although a fun way to spend an afternoon I have to say it hasn't changed that much from the last time I was there. Although the Penguins are always a crowd favorite and the tropical section is fun, they have Monkeys and Capybarras!!! the overall experience felt a little too fabricated. Fun as a one time visit but hard in my opinion to get repeat visitors. Although hard with little one it really pays to take your time and really look around, the animals are often not out in the open. Overall a pleasant experience.”

“Going here each year to rent boats. If you don't want to buy one because either you don't have enough place or money, then this is perfect for you. Be careful tho to not drink the water of the river or you could be sick!”

“I was one of the first to camp in this forest, a piece of paradise on earth. Great, friendly and experienced people. Kids loved it and didn’t want to go back home. Sure I recommend this place and will go back again.”

“Very nice family business. The owner, his wife, their 2 daughters, and the employee are very respectful and nice people. The rooms are renovated and nicely organized. The pool is small but heated which is a nice advantage. There is a picnic area and playground for kids which was a nice surprise. A nice thing is that you park your car right in front of your door. Thank you guys; we will definitely come back again. Strongly recommended.”

“Fantastic. What can I say. We visited in the fall and saw the bison. Amazing. The guide who explains things does it with such a passion. I really enjoyed hearing his explanations and stories. As well, there are wonderful places to walk around and you MUST see the dogs - they are absolutely gorgeous and yes, you can pet them.”

“Very nice park. We went there in a stroller, on the other hand in the middle of the path there were a lot of stairs so we had to turn back. There are several displays in the small wood that explain the wetlands and the types of plants and trees present. If you go through there I advise you :)”

“Nice little regional zoo, prices are reasonable for the variety of animals on display. Installation are a little older but seems like maintenance is trying to catch up. Animals seem cared for except for llamas that had overgrown toe nails which were twisted. But that's just a personal opinion as I have no education in animal care. They are also small water game and pool for kids to cool off. Nice area to lunch with the pick-nick tables.”

“Hidden gem and well worth the detour. If you're in the area don't miss this small park. I know it's only a waterfall and they're not the Niagara, but the natural setting and small access ramps going over will get you a very intimate experience of those charming waterfalls. This is part of a bigger trekking network, so there is plenty more to see and do. Not to miss.”
