“I moved away to chase a career and ended up leaving it raising my kids in the city where recreation and activities not to mention daily bills were so extreme I couldn't take any more after 20 years moved back home and am absolutely loving every minute, sunsets, space, freedom for kids to go and come home with the streetlights, not to mention commuting distance from many centre's, subsidized daycare opening up, a rink, a pool, a K to 12 school, many business opportunities available it's a dream I am glad I jumped at!”

“We were touring Saskatchewan by bicycle and had the pleasure of staying here in early September. We were welcomed warmly by Bernice and enjoyed one of the nicest stays in Saskatchewan. Clean campground, showers and facilities and a very nice site but what really made the difference was the hospitality and service from Bernice and a young fellow (whose name I didn't get) and their kind attentions helping us route planning and sharing stories. Nice place!”

“This place is must stop. They have a variety of things - - art, beading, jewelry, knives, and a cute little "ladies nook" with ten dollar clothing! I highly recommend popping by. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee too.”

“Wow 5 stars! This place blew me away. It didn't look like much with just a bell sitting outside but there is just a ton of really awesome things going on here. It's not as thorough as you might see in many other places but what is there is absolutely very well documented and extremely informative!”

“Very accessable park has lots to offer. My wife and I walked a couple of the trails before taking in supper at the cafe. At first I was put off by the "well-used" condition of the paper menus; but when the food came, I was so excited that I forgot to take a photo! It was delicious, and not hard to recommend. The trails can be hiked, biked, or skied in the winter. I look forward to going back to try some of the other trails, and maybe have lunch at one of their picnic tables.”

“Small museum in Prince Albert that we visited on our way to the same-named National Park. It was a nice stop and we appreciated the private tour. The price was nominal but the tour was quite informative. Thanks to the young guides who work there!”

“Fantastic experience. A few years back I did a similar train excursion in Stettler, Alberta, and was shocked to come across something similar to that in Saskatchewan. This is a much better value for $50/person, that gets you the train ride AND the museum grounds admission. Plan a minimum 3 hours for the museum, and also take advantage of the golf cart they offer for those who can’t handle the tons of walking. We did the museum first, then the train ride at 1:30pm. We got to the train early (around 1:00) and were one of the first to board. Go to the outdoor seating, the breeze and views is fantastic. The tour guides were great, super informative. They also served alcohol, I’m pretty sure that was cash only. We had supper at the hotel restaurant on the corner of Main Street, it was great. The pizzeria sounded good too, we will have to try that out next time. Worth the drive, affordable weekend activity. Would definitely come back.”

“I absolutely love this Provincial park, and I have been to many in SK. The water is super clean, camping sites are fairly large, nicely groomed and most are pretty private. There are also so many trail hikes marked out you have plenty of options. Sand dunes that you can stroll down for hours. Sit down at the beach at sunset and the views are incredible!”
