“So my new wife and I had an amazing honeymoon at Wooly Buggah Barn. I don't know how Chris and Katie did it but their trained moose escort was very impressive! The cozy Barn was perfect for relaxing and cooking so we enjoyed staying in and unwinding after a hectic wedding week. The views and fall colours were just spectacular. We also spent a couple days biking at the nearby Kingdom Trails. It's a fantastic way to spend time in the Northeast Kingdom (NEK).”

“Blown away by the attention to detail and the great atmosphere the campground creates. Mark the owner is a great guy and truly cares! Hot showers , extremely clean, outlets to charge electronics, great communal area. It poured our first night there and the camp ground drained amazing , we had no mud anywhere ! Had a great night talking biking and sharing stories with other campers around the fire pit. Again I have nothing but praise for Mark the owner. Hi From MD ! We will return many times”

“Every year in July a large group of bikers descends upon this little bed and breakfast. They are very nice friendly hosts. The laid-back quiet country life is like being at home. We party into the night and they make us a delicious breakfast in the morning. I can't wait to do it again!”

“Although I have never stayed on this property, I used to visit when I was younger. One of the long-time owners in the early 1900's was my great grandfather by the last name of Cheney (buried in the cemetery at the North end of the lake), who had my grandmother visit before the estate changed hands. This property has always held a very special place in my heart because of this, and I have to express my gratitude to those who restored the land and buildings to what they are today. I stopped by a few weeks ago hoping to see the grounds, but I saw there were folks staying there so I just took a look from the entrance. Thank you for taking care of this beautiful estate, and I hope to be able to stay with my wife and family someday.”

“Love the camp ground !!! The cabins are great when you have a family member that needs that extra care ❤. Cabins have 2 electrical outlets, tiny frig., ceiling fan, one full bed, 2 twins. You bring your own sheets, blankets and extra pillows as they have 4 there. The cabins come with key to restroom facilities that are brand new and handicap accessible. The ground are close quarters though. So expect your neighbors to in very close proximity and car parking is very tight. But all in all we love the campground. The lake right across street and view out of this ????...With hiking trails in walking distance and boat access and launch the whole family will enjoy.”

“I really enjoy this place. It’s a great place to eat with great vibes. They usually have a live band playing. I don’t really pay attention to the schedule but each time I’ve been here I was fortunate enough to experience a live band. Each time I visit Jay Peak I make sure to visit Snow shoe Lodge and pub.”

“From the moment you walk through the door you can feel the warmth that this cabin offers and not just because you took your boots off in the mudroom and you're now standing on heated tiles with happy feet. Thoughtful details and beautiful finishes highlight the cabin's clean design. With a wall of windows that look out onto the beautiful Trout River, The Lodge is perfectly positioned to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors while snuggling up on the expansive and inviting sofas. My family and I were lucky enough to stay here and see the leaves turn and change color for a week. We ventured out in a different direction everyday after making breakfast together and we were all so happy to return and fix dinner in the perfectly appointed kitchen with the ever-present ambient sounds of the river in the background. Seriously relaxing. Beds, pillows and linens were cozy, felt new and chosen for warmth. With a washer and dryer in the cabin you can pack half as much as you think you need, wash the day's adventures off and start out again in the morning. We were a party of 4 adults and one toddler, and we had plenty of room to spread out and with 1 and 3/4 bathrooms we had plenty of room to clean up, too. Everything was perfect and my only wish was that we could have stayed longer. Trout River Lodge, I'll be back.”

“Nice little family friendly campsite. Right on the Champlane with easy access for swimming and water sports. The camp owners were very welcoming and made you feel like they had known you for years. Camp sites vary in sizes but we were fortunate to get a site at the top of the site where we had plenty of space and privacy.”

“We stayed 4 nights at this funky and relaxing B&B with our two toddlers. Carol is such a wonderful host and made a yummy breakfast for us each morning - with a spread that included eggs made to order, good organic coffee, an assortment of healthy cereals, breads and juices, and homemade baked banana nut muffins that were perfect w a slathering of butter!! We stayed upstairs in a spacious former classroom that still contains chalkboards, toys and books. So cool! The kids played in the backyard; we picked and ate endless wild black raspberries; fed the chickens, picked veggies and herbs from Carol’s garden; and swayed on the hammock while listening to the breeze move through the large trees overhead. We spent time at the nearby Alburg Sand Dunes - beautiful sandy beach on Lake Champlain. We stopped by the Fisk Farm for a Sunday Tea Garden party, and attended daily Mass at the historic St Anne’s Shrine. On one rainy day, we traveled to the state capital, Montpelier, and to Waterbury to visit the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory. We were able to decompress and temporarily leave behind our worries and stresses. The Vermont vibe is relaxed and friendly, and truly an escape. Highly recommend!!”

“This place is AMAZING! If your looking to truly get away and relax, this is the place to run to. The cottages are spotless and provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are into the outdoors then you will have plenty to do! My husband and I took advantage of the midweek special with the Kayak rental and we loved every minute! Our only disappointment was that we didn't book a longer stay from the start! We were unable to extend our reservation due to everything being booked up! Renee is THE BEST host and the sweetest woman in Vermont. Why anyone wouldn't give a 5 star rating is beyond me!”
