The home is beautiful, very tastefully and interestingly decorated and most inviting. The sunroom for breakfasts is extraordinary. It brings the beauty of the backyard location inside. Being able to use and relax on the main floor made my stay here very comfortable and special. The morning breakfast choices were healthy, and very enjoyable. Roger is a wonderful host by any measure. Very helpful and knowledgeable about Canmore and recreation opportunities. Very engaging and easy conversation. For a B and B experience, it doesn't get any better than here. “One of the best B&B's I've ever stayed at. Perfect location just between downtown Canmore and the river. Everywhere you want to go is just a short walk away from the gorgeous custom built home. So many small details here make this a sanctuary that most places can't compare to. The tree house is a little bigger, quieter and has a steam shower. The forest suite below has a great jet tub. You can't go wrong with either. For your breakfast, bring your own food for the mini fridge or Val & Bob will stock it for you. Or walk a couple blocks to many options downtown. It's a relaxing romantic place to stay.”

“The rooms are dated, but are very clean. The beds are comfortable, and the showers gives plenty of hot water and good pressure. There is a microwave, a fridge and a coffee maker, so the room delivers it’s essentials. The train is loud, but I did not find it bothersome through the night at all (in fact, I kinda liked it). The walls are super thin, the floors are super thin, so you literally hear everything which was far more annoying than the train. Plumbing seems to be a bit of an issue. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless you held the lever down, sometimes the sink randomly backed up, and sometimes it didn’t. The pipes would talk to you whether you were in your own shower, or in the stairwell. Lots of plumbing noises throughout. They have breakfast available which is very expensive in my opinion, but with a fridge in the room and a Safeway behind the hotel, I was able to utilize that option instead. The location is really good, and the parking is really good. The pool area is great, there is a coffee and tea station in the lobby that is complementary. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is pet friendly, which is a great bonus for us. I would suggest putting some sort of garbage can in front of the hotel, so that guests can pick up after their pets and have a place to put that garbage. Even with the small cons of this hotel, I would consider staying here again.”

“Incredible place. The room was spacious and super cozy. We could do laundry inside the unit, which is great. Not to mention the balcony with a barbecue ready for use. Also the staff was very friendly. We knew this was probably gonna be a good place based on other reviews, and yet we were still surprised. Loved everything about this hotel. Easy 5 stars from me.”

“We had a great stay with Mary Jane & Dave! Our room was very well equipped for our needs. The home was easy to find, in a convenient location, clean, quiet and spacious. Beautiful views of the mountains from the windows and the hosts were very friendly & accomodating. Will definitely have to come back when they are serving breakfast in the future ☺️”

“We had a very amazing experience with Fenwick Vacation Rentals in Canmore. We happened to book a room with them last minute and they did a good job preparing everything upon our check-in. There were seven of us, and the room we got has two rooms; one with a queen size bed and one with two double decks; there was also a sofa bed. All kitchen needs and toiletries are complete. We also did our laundry before checking out. Overall, it was a 5 star experience. Will definitely book with them again.”

“Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge was an older looking motel just off the freeway in Canmore. The room was fairly quiet and clean. There was good water pressure in the bathroom, but we had a constant sound of running or dripping water from a source above the bathroom. We were back near the hot tub and playground, under the staircase, in an area of rooms that made the parking a little tight, but what a view of the mountains from the parking lot. Had a very nice young lady working the desk, both at check-in and check-out, who offered to answer any questions we had. There were several food options in the area, and a gas station across the street.”

“Out of a 3 night stay, 1 day was a pool cover repair so no pool until after 5pm and the other was a parking lot clean up of gravel so not able to park car in parking area. Both things were were managable but not notified until booking completely paid and non refundable. Pool was dirty and the area pool and hot tub need an upgrade old and not maintained well.”

Comments from our group were "Impressive...lovely place to host a family...nice & clean" And speaking of the cleaning lady Nyssa:) She went above & beyond her duties in retrieving our laptop & mailing it to us!!!
