Very clean rv site. We arrived late and the staff were very accommodating and helpful even tho we had no reservation. We would absolutely stay there again. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
Quiet, well maintained site with a beautiful view of the Rockies. Accommodating friendly staff. Really close to Waterton Dam. A bit far from Waterton Park (35 minutes). Someone was complaining about not being able to bring their 3 dogs but it is a fairly new establishment on the prairies so trees are still small - no shade - I wouldn't want to have 3 dogs with me there and I like dogs. We left our pooch with friends so we wouldn't have to worry about him while we played. No picnic tables or restrooms but a cute playground.
Beautiful campground with full service, water, sewer, power, at a reasonable cost. Seasonal prices also available. The owners are so helpful, accommodating & friendly & go above & beyond as owners to make sure our stay (for the July long weekend) was perfect. My husband loves fly fishing & also runs RC cars as a hobby, & there was so many spaces & local gems to explore in this area. I does get a bit windy at times, being right by the foothills & Rocky Mountain but there are plenty of day trips we took in the nearby valleys, rivers, and towns that we enjoyed. The campground has been open for 3 years so there isn’t a whole lot of trees around, but don’t let that stop you from checking this wonderful campground out. My dad enjoyed watching baby robin’s from the nearby trees, hatch and learn how to fly, something you just can’t experience in the city. Amazing views & spectacular sunsets. I would recommend staying in the A loop, especially if you have a trailer with a rear window, you can just back your trailer in and enjoy the mountain views. My parents are retired & seasonal campers that will definitely return next year. Best seasonal prices in all of southern Alberta with tons of attractions nearby. My husband & I were tired of fighting for campsites in Kananaskis & Bow Valley, this is a hidden gem I almost don’t want to write a review on because I know it’s a special place, many people will be eager to get into in the upcoming years to come!
This will be our third season,, location is really great.. two hours from Calgary.. Owners are really great..
Things we really like:
Close to Waterton park
Close to Waterton Reservoir. fishing and boating.
Do you like fly-fishing??
Explore the area and you will discover several lakes and rivers. Hiking, paddle boarding, biking around the canals ..
Prairie Peaks campgrounds has full hookups! No need to worry about when the honey wagon is coming by to empty your tanks..
Build a deck and put up a shed! we love having a second home!
The trees are growing and the owners are spending a lot of time and effort developing an amazing space for us.. Get in early on a great campground!
