“I've rated the room with 4 stars primarily due to its age, but I was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing and clean scent. As for the location, I remain neutral as I'm not familiar with the area. What truly impressed me about this hotel was the hardworking and friendly owner, Shelly, who was incredibly helpful and amazing. The candy store delighted my children, and my son insisted I include this comment. Regarding breakfast, it was simple yet abundant, with the owners consistently replenishing the food. A notable highlight was the generous offering of fresh fruit and delectable homemade muffins, a definite must-try. All in all, I consider this place to be a hidden gem.”

“It's a small town, so the rooms are lower quality. But mostly I was bothered that when we came the TV remote was broken, the lights had all been unplugged, the bath was clogged and the room was muggy, as if there had been no AC for days. It took an hour for the room to cool down to a regular temperature! It just felt like it had not been prepared for guests to come and stay in it. The staff was great, and more than willing to help fix all the problems. But I don't think the problems should have been there to begin with. The town itself is cute.”

“What a great time we had with Diane and Mike! The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and spacious. We really enjoyed having dinner prepared by both Mike and Diane and getting to know our hosts a little bit. “Highly recommend this place to everyone who would like to visit Waterton Park or just enjoy some peaceful days in a rural area. Jeff and Angela are super hosts as Airbnb marked. They have gorgeous room decors, and we enjoyed listening to their interesting stories about family, photos, bears, and many others. Angela prepared us a delicious homemade breakfast and also a hiker's lunch bag I felt so happy to have the sandwich when I was on the top of the Bear's Hump Trail with the spectacular view of Waterton Park. The suite itself was super cozy with a private balcony, shower with jets, and a comfortable king-size bed. All in all, we really enjoyed one night there, which gave the short trip to Waterton another delightful thing to memorize in the future.”

“We stayed here @ Bear Country Inn for 3 nights last week…very impressive set up that complements the Barn Store really well. Nice, quiet, clean and spacious room with a character - the sensory night lamps is a smart adder. Great country side experience and a smart alternative to the expensive Waterton hotels at this time of the year - it was only a 20 mins or so drive to Waterton from here. Our stay included a lavish hot breakfast (with some nice options) and it’s prepared right after you order. Big shout out 👏👏 to Jeff and Stephanie (3rd generation owners) for establishing such an awesome ONE STOP SHOP - very popular ice cream place, convenience store with fresh produce, Canada 🇨🇦 post, impressive gift shop, gas station. Their complete facility is Solar powered since last couple of months now and they’ve seen a drastic reduction in their electricity bills. Great initiative 👍 and truly inspiring to see energy transition happening across the country side in Alberta. I’d highly recommend this place for it’s outstanding service and for what all it has to offer at a reasonable pricing.”

“We rented all 3 cabins for a family reunion over the Canada Day long weekend. Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. There were 18 of us and we all fit comfortably. For the kidlets there was a lot of open space, playground equipment and owners even set up a trampoline for them. All 3 cabins were beautifully decorated and provided the comforts of home. Beds were super comfy! We loved the view of the mountains, especially for our morning coffee. Stargazing at night was amazing! We definitely plan on returning for our next reunion!”

“The Chief Mountain Lodge is very well located only 15 minutes from the Waterton national park gate. The photos in the listing are very accurate and the place is clean and inviting. The place is very stocked with lots of spices, flour, teas & coffee and even popcorn! There is plenty of parking if you have a large group and there's a large yard with an amazing view of Chief Mountain. For rain days For there's lots of books, boardgames and toys for the kiddos. The added bonus of wifi was great! We streamed the Olympics coverage with no issues! This place does not disappoint, I would highly recommend booking this lovely place if you find yourself out this way.”

“You know that nice smell of wood when you walk into a cabin? Now imagine if the cabin was not just logs but a lovely hotel with vintage furniture, flowerbeds and very relaxed policies about guest autonomy, so it just feels like you're a part of their little world. This hotel is located a bit away from the main city, which gives a lot more peace and quiet. The owners are very nice and inclusive they let us use the kitchen in the non-breakfast times and the breakfast always had enough to pick from! We had a small incident where the kid in our family, not older than 5 at the time, forgot his very important and beloved teddybear at the inn. We were unable to pick it up, so for a WHOLE YEAR the owners kept it for us in a safe until we came back and the boy had a happy reunion with his teddy. He lived that whole year on the faith that the bear was kept safe and loved, always comforted by the thought, and it truly was! Such a special place for us, can't wait to come back and look over the beautiful fields from the windows!”

“There were 14 of us, 13 people in tents, using three campsites. Really really enjoyed ourselves. We were there to hike some of the beautiful trails in Waterton Park, and this campsite is literally a few kilometres from the park boundary. The campsite has awesome showers, a place to wash your dishes, a well-stocked store, and friendly staff. We had a campfire each night, which I love, and when we were still yakking after 11 PM, we were told to keep it down. Which is really nice to know that they enforce the rules. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I am just about to check out from a 2-night family get way. Let me tell you, the stay here is more than just a room to sleep at, it is an experience to live. The place is amazing. Vinessa and Curtis did a fabulous job in making the place a welcoming home away from home. The location is great, amongst all the farm land in the south with a clear view to the south western mountains namely Chief Mountain south of the border. The house is clean and organized and the hosts have gone above and beyond in stocking the kitchen not only with dishes and silverware but all your teas and coffees and the equipment you need to fix yourself with your favorite hot beverage. They have also welcomed us with a freshly baked load of Banana bread which was an amazing gesture. Obviously the place is about a 25-min drive from Waterton National Park which is amazing but honestly we could have spent the whole time at the Ranch :). Overall i recommend this experience to anyone who wants to escape the city and experience life in the country and to families who want to let their kids connect and experience farm animals.”

I want everyone to know that this business and the owner have been hacked by his son Marcel Massicotte and Marcel’s friend RJ Castillo and they have robbed his bank account and every account that Normand has on the internet. They are criminals and the RCMP are working on it. They will be arrested and charged with a long list of criminal activities. “Friendly, clean, nice nature trail with lots of deer to watch. We are from Colorado and after being treated so poorly at the border, we wondered if coming to this country was a bad idea but this place lifted our spirits back up. The Canada border staff at Sweet grass crossing were rude, arrogant, condescending, and seemed to delight in making you feel like they weren't going to let you over the border. Not just us but everyone we saw going through. Shame one those with a little power to abuse it in treating their fellow humans in such a horrible way. So we are grateful for the welcome we received at this campground and we highly recommend it.”

“Beautiful campground with full service, water, sewer, power, at a reasonable cost. Seasonal prices also available. The owners are so helpful, accommodating & friendly & go above & beyond as owners to make sure our stay (for the July long weekend) was perfect. My husband loves fly fishing & also runs RC cars as a hobby, & there was so many spaces & local gems to explore in this area. I does get a bit windy at times, being right by the foothills & Rocky Mountain but there are plenty of day trips we took in the nearby valleys, rivers, and towns that we enjoyed. The campground has been open for 3 years so there isn’t a whole lot of trees around, but don’t let that stop you from checking this wonderful campground out. My dad enjoyed watching baby robin’s from the nearby trees, hatch and learn how to fly, something you just can’t experience in the city. Amazing views & spectacular sunsets. I would recommend staying in the A loop, especially if you have a trailer with a rear window, you can just back your trailer in and enjoy the mountain views. My parents are retired & seasonal campers that will definitely return next year. Best seasonal prices in all of southern Alberta with tons of attractions nearby. My husband & I were tired of fighting for campsites in Kananaskis & Bow Valley, this is a hidden gem I almost don’t want to write a review on because I know it’s a special place, many people will be eager to get into in the upcoming years to come!”

“We've been here 5 times and look forward to Friday night dinner and show and Saturday night dancing Great country style dinner and entertainment, a family band. Nice view of the mountains and sunsets at the camp ground with hookups. They can handle large rigs,15, 30, 50 amp service with water. We bring our grandson here for a music camp the last week of July. Very friendly atmosphere. We will come back again and again. Safe travels everyone.”

“I love this campground. If you want to camp somewhere you feel at home, everyone is friendly and you can let loose this is the place for you. Very open spaces, super friendly people. Amazing decks that people have bought that also make it so homey. The only one downside is that the campground is very close to a river, which a few years ago flooded the whole campground. So during the off season you take your trailers to a top of a hill for flooding. But other than that, its a great place to camp for the summer.”
