Crooked Creek Campground

Address: AB-5, Waterton Park, AB T0K 2M0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“There were 14 of us, 13 people in tents, using three campsites. Really really enjoyed ourselves. We were there to hike some of the beautiful trails in Waterton Park, and this campsite is literally a few kilometres from the park boundary. The campsite has awesome showers, a place to wash your dishes, a well-stocked store, and friendly staff. We had a campfire each night, which I love, and when we were still yakking after 11 PM, we were told to keep it down. Which is really nice to know that they enforce the rules. Would definitely stay here again.”

Redford Park

Address: 2 Ave E, Cardston, AB T0K 0K0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment

“They just put in a new playground and dugouts are also newer. The east baseball field has lights. And both fields are well maintained and have shale infields. There is a big hill down to the fields, so not great for impaired mobility. However, the view isn't bad from the top of the hill, or there is places to park or sit in the west side outfield that are accessible. The new park is nice and in the winter the town takes the fence down for sledding.”

Woolford Provincial Park

Address: Township Rd 30A, Lethbridge, AB T1H 0H5, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Very quiet campground. Nice peaceful place to camp and relax. Would go again. If I had anything negative to say, it would be nice if the parks people would get rid of the dead stands that directly threaten each campsite. While we were there, a dead tree fell in the neighbors campsite and hit the side of her tent. Luckily, she was not in the tent at the time, but damage was done to some of her things. She was very lucky”

Village of Hill Spring

Address: 11E 2 Ave S, Hill Spring, AB T0K 1E0, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment

“I have the pleasure of living near the quaint little village of Hill Spring. There is an awesome stained glass business, small stores, post office, etc. The scenery is incredibly beautiful with fields of green & farms/ranches on the outskirts of town. The winter weather can be a bit harsh so a 4x4 vehicle is a must have as well as a wood stove! When a blizzard knocked out the power for 24 hrs my neighbors froze but I was toasty warm & could cook. The only thing I don't like is the sight of the baby calves beside the highway in their tiny holding pens after being taken away from their Mothers. I wish I could rescue them all!🐄🌻🚜🌞”

J.A. Spencer Memorial Irrigation Park & Disc Golf Course

Covered Wagon RV Park

Address: 234 5 Ave S, Magrath, AB T0K 1J0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“Friendly, clean, nice nature trail with lots of deer to watch. We are from Colorado and after being treated so poorly at the border, we wondered if coming to this country was a bad idea but this place lifted our spirits back up. The Canada border staff at Sweet grass crossing were rude, arrogant, condescending, and seemed to delight in making you feel like they weren't going to let you over the border. Not just us but everyone we saw going through. Shame one those with a little power to abuse it in treating their fellow humans in such a horrible way. So we are grateful for the welcome we received at this campground and we highly recommend it.”

Prairie Peaks Campground

Address: 280052, AB-505, Hill Spring, AB T0K 1E0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“Beautiful campground with full service, water, sewer, power, at a reasonable cost. Seasonal prices also available. The owners are so helpful, accommodating & friendly & go above & beyond as owners to make sure our stay (for the July long weekend) was perfect. My husband loves fly fishing & also runs RC cars as a hobby, & there was so many spaces & local gems to explore in this area. I does get a bit windy at times, being right by the foothills & Rocky Mountain but there are plenty of day trips we took in the nearby valleys, rivers, and towns that we enjoyed. The campground has been open for 3 years so there isn’t a whole lot of trees around, but don’t let that stop you from checking this wonderful campground out. My dad enjoyed watching baby robin’s from the nearby trees, hatch and learn how to fly, something you just can’t experience in the city. Amazing views & spectacular sunsets. I would recommend staying in the A loop, especially if you have a trailer with a rear window, you can just back your trailer in and enjoy the mountain views. My parents are retired & seasonal campers that will definitely return next year. Best seasonal prices in all of southern Alberta with tons of attractions nearby. My husband & I were tired of fighting for campsites in Kananaskis & Bow Valley, this is a hidden gem I almost don’t want to write a review on because I know it’s a special place, many people will be eager to get into in the upcoming years to come!”

Nice view of the mountains and sunsets at the camp ground with hookups. They can handle large rigs,15, 30, 50 amp service with water. We bring our grandson here for a music camp the last week of July. Very friendly atmosphere. We will come back again and again. Safe travels everyone.”

Riverwood Campground

Address: 9G4G+3W, Glenwood, AB T0L 1Y0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park Point of interest Establishment

“I love this campground. If you want to camp somewhere you feel at home, everyone is friendly and you can let loose this is the place for you. Very open spaces, super friendly people. Amazing decks that people have bought that also make it so homey. The only one downside is that the campground is very close to a river, which a few years ago flooded the whole campground. So during the off season you take your trailers to a top of a hill for flooding. But other than that, its a great place to camp for the summer.”

“Awesome campsite! Owners are friendly and people are generally amazing. There are a few who would rather complain and irritate their neighbours, rather than enjoy everyone. People in the campground are always improving their sites, which sometimes creates animosity between neighbours.”
