“Highly recommend this place to everyone who would like to visit Waterton Park or just enjoy some peaceful days in a rural area. Jeff and Angela are super hosts as Airbnb marked. They have gorgeous room decors, and we enjoyed listening to their interesting stories about family, photos, bears, and many others. Angela prepared us a delicious homemade breakfast and also a hiker's lunch bag I felt so happy to have the sandwich when I was on the top of the Bear's Hump Trail with the spectacular view of Waterton Park. The suite itself was super cozy with a private balcony, shower with jets, and a comfortable king-size bed. All in all, we really enjoyed one night there, which gave the short trip to Waterton another delightful thing to memorize in the future.”

“We stayed here @ Bear Country Inn for 3 nights last week…very impressive set up that complements the Barn Store really well. Nice, quiet, clean and spacious room with a character - the sensory night lamps is a smart adder. Great country side experience and a smart alternative to the expensive Waterton hotels at this time of the year - it was only a 20 mins or so drive to Waterton from here. Our stay included a lavish hot breakfast (with some nice options) and it’s prepared right after you order. Big shout out 👏👏 to Jeff and Stephanie (3rd generation owners) for establishing such an awesome ONE STOP SHOP - very popular ice cream place, convenience store with fresh produce, Canada 🇨🇦 post, impressive gift shop, gas station. Their complete facility is Solar powered since last couple of months now and they’ve seen a drastic reduction in their electricity bills. Great initiative 👍 and truly inspiring to see energy transition happening across the country side in Alberta. I’d highly recommend this place for it’s outstanding service and for what all it has to offer at a reasonable pricing.”

“Descent place for the price. We stayed there for two nights. We didn't have any issue. Very close to Waterton Lakes. Very good view of the mountains from the rooms. By the way, Google made a mistake by naming this place as Mountain View School but it should be Bear Country inn and suites.”

“We rented all 3 cabins for a family reunion over the Canada Day long weekend. Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. There were 18 of us and we all fit comfortably. For the kidlets there was a lot of open space, playground equipment and owners even set up a trampoline for them. All 3 cabins were beautifully decorated and provided the comforts of home. Beds were super comfy! We loved the view of the mountains, especially for our morning coffee. Stargazing at night was amazing! We definitely plan on returning for our next reunion!”

“The Chief Mountain Lodge is very well located only 15 minutes from the Waterton national park gate. The photos in the listing are very accurate and the place is clean and inviting. The place is very stocked with lots of spices, flour, teas & coffee and even popcorn! There is plenty of parking if you have a large group and there's a large yard with an amazing view of Chief Mountain. For rain days For there's lots of books, boardgames and toys for the kiddos. The added bonus of wifi was great! We streamed the Olympics coverage with no issues! This place does not disappoint, I would highly recommend booking this lovely place if you find yourself out this way.”

“You know that nice smell of wood when you walk into a cabin? Now imagine if the cabin was not just logs but a lovely hotel with vintage furniture, flowerbeds and very relaxed policies about guest autonomy, so it just feels like you're a part of their little world. This hotel is located a bit away from the main city, which gives a lot more peace and quiet. The owners are very nice and inclusive they let us use the kitchen in the non-breakfast times and the breakfast always had enough to pick from! We had a small incident where the kid in our family, not older than 5 at the time, forgot his very important and beloved teddybear at the inn. We were unable to pick it up, so for a WHOLE YEAR the owners kept it for us in a safe until we came back and the boy had a happy reunion with his teddy. He lived that whole year on the faith that the bear was kept safe and loved, always comforted by the thought, and it truly was! Such a special place for us, can't wait to come back and look over the beautiful fields from the windows!”

“Terrific customer service and quality rental equipment. We rented a canoe and a few paddle boards. Peter was very helpful in giving us a good tutorial that got us comfortable enough to try paddle boarding for the first time. Rates are fair and can be paid for in cash or credit. Afterwards, I asked Peter if he knew of a place in the area to get my flat tire repaired as it was the Canada Day long weekend. He immediately offered to fix it himself! He came up to our lodge that afternoon where he plugged and filled the tire. A surprising and unexpected act of generosity on the side of Peter and his time. Thanks again! Will see you again in 2018 and 2019.”

“I am just about to check out from a 2-night family get way. Let me tell you, the stay here is more than just a room to sleep at, it is an experience to live. The place is amazing. Vinessa and Curtis did a fabulous job in making the place a welcoming home away from home. The location is great, amongst all the farm land in the south with a clear view to the south western mountains namely Chief Mountain south of the border. The house is clean and organized and the hosts have gone above and beyond in stocking the kitchen not only with dishes and silverware but all your teas and coffees and the equipment you need to fix yourself with your favorite hot beverage. They have also welcomed us with a freshly baked load of Banana bread which was an amazing gesture. Obviously the place is about a 25-min drive from Waterton National Park which is amazing but honestly we could have spent the whole time at the Ranch :). Overall i recommend this experience to anyone who wants to escape the city and experience life in the country and to families who want to let their kids connect and experience farm animals.”
