“Definitely the best and the biggest ice rink in Edmonton. Unfortunately, the temperatures vary every winter and the ones that love skating have to wait a while for the rink to open up. Every year I look forward to go because it is just amazing having a big place to skate :) the staff there are very friendly!!”

Gallagher Park

“Great park! Excellent for tobogganing in the winter or hanging out and having a picnic with an epic city view. Came here and ran a 400ft long slip and slide the other day with a water truck. There's a lot you can do on a fun hill like this one! Just make sure to clean up after yourself, whatever you do! Keep the place as pretty as it was when you got there ????????”

Bonnie Doon Park

Hawrelak Trail Off Leash Site

Address: Edmonton, AB T6G 2A8, Canada

Park

“Disclaimer, I don't own a dog, but I LOVE coming down here on the weekend to see everybody walking and playing with their dogs. I've even seen some cats on leashes here. The trail is well maintained and easy to drive to, you can walk across the bridge to Hawrelak Park too, and there's some shoreline areas to let your dog swim in the river for a bit. The trails going north could be better maintained however.”

“It’s a park, it’s close to nature, it’s what we all need. I was going to write about the beautiful greenery and majestic trees but I just realized I am visiting February 16 it was minus 20 and lots of snow. I was here for the Silver Skate Festival so it was reality even though I wished for plus 20 and green grass, that being said this is a great park and I have come here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the park. It’s what we all need more of. There are many festivals and events held throughout the year here. Located in the picturesque river valley it is a great place to visit anytime of the year even in the winter time.”

“Love to relax at this place. Its not the cleanest considering it isnt maintained by the city but its a nice place to bring the dogs and relax in a chair without having to many people around. Ample parking available. The pyramids are colour changing during night and that’s beautiful too. I heard it will be closed for some time for renovations in 2019.”
