“I had the pleasure of driving the Victoria Trail yesterday. I had no idea this integral part of Alberta's history existed. Although the main centres were closed due to the season (winter), I will definitely return when they open and can hardly wait. There is something for everyone here and a must see.”

“I was excited to see this place and it didn't disappoint. Enjoyed the personal tour and listening to all the history. Lily Rose 's bannock cooked over a fire on a stick inspired me to make my own bannock. Loved hearing the history on the 3 sisters grown in the gardens. Enjoyed hearing the history on how a buffalo hunt was managed between the women and men. Even saw a photo of a very distent cousin Edward Cunningham (1862-1920) who became the first Canadian Metis from Alberta to be ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest that is featured in the small museum that is on site. This visit brought me closer to my metis roots and encouraged me to learn more. I love being a strong metis woman.”
