Bow Valley Campground

Nice campground close to Calgary. Roads are a little narrow but generally speaking its a great place to spend the weekend. Close proximity to Canmore and Kananaskis.

Awesome location close to the city. Lots of private site. Riverfront sites are amazing and offers a great view of the mountains. Our sites on both times that we were here were far from the highway. Only noise one could here is the train passing by which eventually could just become white noise in the background if you don't pay attention. I would even come back here for a day visit as it has lots of trails around the campground that you can explore. I agree that one of the staffs at the store can be be very blunt and could use some soft skills...hence the missing star on the rating.

It is a beautiful spot, but trains pass regularly and blow their horns and it got a little old.

Beautiful place. Although there were lots of RVers and campers that could barely park their vehicles in some spots.

Very nice location for camping, its beautiful and the facilities were kept very clean. The only downside was we were in a spot that was not covered by any trees or bushes so when the wind picked up at night it felt like the tent was going to blow away. Bad sleep but got nice views in exchange.
