“Nice and private, but the local conservation officers will ticket you if you use ATV's between the park and trail less than half a km up the road. Be warned. We were under the impression we could come and go from the park as the website listed it as "easy atv access". Other than that we had an amazing weekend out there, even with the firebans. Staff that come through were great, place is clean and well laid out.”

“The Jura Creek hike is a relatively easy hike. Great for families. The parking lot was more than full. The trail is well traveled and easily followed. The trek through the narrow canyons cut by the water is beautiful. The views from the valley is stunning. No wonder its such a popular hike It's also a short drive from Calgary.”

“Large, somewhat private camp sites. Close proximity to trails and great hikes. Reasonable rates for the stunning views. Central store area is dated and in need of reno, but it adds to the rustic camping experience. I'd go back for sure!”

“Very nice campground! Good sized sites and fairly private sites! Has a nice walk nearby called marl lake, we do that walk everyday we are camping there! I hope next season they open the bathrooms up again!”

“We were just here last weekend. Very nice spot and easy to social distance. Lost the dog for two days then he was found so five star experience! Great staff also very helpful and concerned regarding the pup :) Easy to get to and near to Calgary.”

“Great location, good facilities. Pretty expensive for an open field but everyone had fun. You can hear the traffic noise from the highway as well. Great overall facility for a group camp.”

“This camp is a fabulous facility. It's an easy drive from the city and even the gravel stretch of the road is well maintained. There are 3 site with buildings and bunks, 2 with buildings without bunks (use tents), and one tenting only site. The camp is charmingly rustic, with outdoor latrines and propane lights and stoves. No electricity. All the sites have lots of space between so even if they were all in use your group would still have lots of space and you wouldn't be on top of anyone else. The large size of the property, and the fact that it is surrounded by crown land, means there is a lot of scope for activities. On site you can hike up Little Buck hill and play wide games in the meadow. You can easily go off site to hike up the fire lookout near by, or walk 10 mins down to the shallow Wiaporous river to wade and play. The site is great for both summer and winter camping.”

“Went camping here August 2020, such a beautiful site, picnic tables and lots of room. The bathrooms were extremely clean and they came around frequently to clean them which was nice, free firewood available, a lot of my friends didn’t have service but i had service on my phone with Rogers the whole time - cute creek nearby. would come back!”

“A beautiful park to spend the day, have a picnic or have a quick stretch of the legs. In summer there is a concession stand in case you need a quick nosh, and the playground is great for the kids all year round. Winter time fun for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and even ice fishing!”

“Fantastic place. It is a walk in campground. Lots of lovely nature to explore! I was only there for the day and will be going back to explore more. I love the little to no cell service!!”

“Love this place. Family loves it. The river is near. There's a small waterfall near by. Good hiking. Lots of room. Bathrooms are clean. Choose is clean. The only problem I have is the last time we went the garbage bins were already full. They need to be checked after each group comes in.”

“Besides the hike up to elbow lake, the hike to the tombstone lake campground is flat and easy with great views of the valley. The campground is nice itself, it has gravel plots for tents, however the gravel is quite uncomfortable and it would probably be better with just grass.”

“Beautiful campground! They do a great job spacing people out so you're not always camping right beside someone else. The staff (or owners) Where super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.”

“Site was great and well maintained beware that the county does the poorest job of maintaining the gravel road to it. It will beat the hell out of your ball joints. Love the site, won't return because of the road conditions to it.”

“The camp sites are large, full of trees thus lots of privacy. Even busy you feel alone and it is quiet. I was there during the labor long weekend and though full I felt I had my own privacy. Lots to do around here, excellent spot for hikers. The river is accessible and the mountains are spectacular. I discovered a little gem, next time I'll come here instead of Kananaskis. Highly recommend.”

“Gorgeous backpack campground with individual sites with fire pits and picnic tables. The outhouses even have toilet paper.”

“Really nice. The road is bumpy but it's worth the drive. Unfortunately my first date I took there didn't like it so I'm still single. I don't think I'll take another date here. I think the part with the bear attack was what did it. Take bear spray. But not first dates. Maybe a third or fourth date.”

“Top notch yet simple. Outhouses, fire pits and nature. You can pay for your stay with envelopes with cash or with your credit card info by filling in the forms onsite. Very close to a service station if you need anything. We will be returning.”

“Most of the campsites here are by reservation only. They have a few first come first served. If you didn't book a campsite, the place down the road is less busy and is all first come first served. Other than that it is overall a pretty nice campground with friendly helpful staff. I would recommend this place if you want somewhere very secluded.”
