I have camped there countless times and will continue to go every year. Wide sites, friendly staff, a store with what you need. My wife and I just enjoyed a good camping trip there. The online booking is now fabulous, easy and fast
this place is awesome, 7 min drive to troll falls.
staffs are nice as well.
stayed at campsite 9b,nice spot coz its a bit private compared to the other spots..
My wife, two dogs and I had a fantastic time at Sundance Lodges we camped in our own tent. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the store was well stocked and had plenty of fire wood sale (which was cheaper than the Canadian Tire fire wood that we bought with us). It was good to see the staff making regular rounds to clean everything. The showers were in good condition and felt clean.
The campsite itself is just a 4 min drive to Troll Falls which is lovely, and a short drive to other great hiking stops. Barrier Lake (which is basically a beach in the mountains) is also close by if hiking is not your thing.
I would definitely recommend Sundance Lodges but am giving four stars instead of five mainly for these two reasons; 1) The campsites felt a little close together. From you spot we could look directly into four other families camping spots which made it feel a little less private. 2) Sundance Lodges is set right next to highway 40 so at we could hear a lot of noisy traffic while trying to sleep, plus the occasional helicopter (at least that's what I think it was). However, these to comments should not deter anyone from having a great time here (I just have to be fair when dishing out five stars).
Great place. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and I keep coming back. I love how the river is so close to the campsite. They have a store with restrooms and a field with a volleyball court. I hope I can come back next year. (I recommend buying a trappers tent).
Absolutely love it here. We camped in our own tent and felt like we had full privacy. The Trappers tents and Teepees look fabulous and the staff were all lovely. Gorgeous campground 😍
