“What a great place to stay. The hosts were amazing. Bathrooms were so clean some of the cleanest bathrooms I have ever been in. Camping was great. We have a 45 ft 5th wheel, the host helped us to our site and helped us back in. That was nice. Campground was very clean and the roads to sites were pavement. AAA Lots of cool stuff to do in olds for family’s and lots of places to eat. Kathy and Ralph Pedersen. Best hosts!!”

“It was our first time staying at this campground and definitely not the list! I phoned and the lady was so helpful, informative and overall wonderful. This place has everything you need from full service, a playground, dog park, a store with everything even things I have forgotten in the past that I had to travel far to get. They treat you like family and the campground is very clean and secure. Even train rides for the kid. I highly recommend this place”

“Lovely campground on the river. Great couple take care of it. Quiet in spite of the Hwy. Walking to town is 5 min. I'm in a full service site. Decided to spend another couple of days. ? Will return next year for another week.❤”

“This is a very well run campground. There are parks and horseshoe pits, baseball diamonds, a little stone beach by the river. Free showers and outhouses all over the place to use if you don’t want to make the walk to the flushing toilets. Overall My family and I enjoyed our stay. The spaces are a little too close together and not much for privacy between sites but that's really my only complaint and not a big deal to me. For a privately run campground the staff here are doing a really good job and they take very good care of their site.”

“We have been coming to Elkton for the last few years, since we got our RV - it is a reliable favorite of ours. The owners & staff are very easy going, take good care of you and clearly enjoy what they do - tons to do for the kids, when ours was little she LOVED money mountain, now that she's a little older she's enjoyed the recent upgrades to the park. When it's warm out, having the river right there is wonderful. So nice to have a spot close to Calgary that is consistent, priced well and laid back. Option of wood delivery for a reasonable price. the ice cream & candy store for the kiddos (funded by Money Mountain) all make for a lovely weekend camping trip. Yes, it can be busy, but I don't think that's a bad thing - there are so many regulars here, everyone is so friendly, we find it enjoyable. We do bring out our own water to avoid the sulfur smell of the well water, but always nice to have power & water at a reasonable price. We have a few favorite spots we often aim for and REALLY love visiting Elkton in the traditionally "off" season camping times (as early & late into the season weather will allow) - our family did Easter out here with a group of 6 units and really enjoyed it. We plan on hopefully getting out there a few more times yet this weekend and right up to Thanksgiving (fingers crossed!).”

“Great place to camp. Some sites are right on the road but the river is literally a stumble down the bank. Ne camping here this summer.”

“I have been going here for 5 years and I never plan on stopping. River's Edge is the best summer camp you will find in Alberta. I extremely recommend visiting/registering to go to camp there. Fantastic staff, outstanding space, and an indescribable atmosphere. Amazing speaking that really drives home the Christian faith.”

“Fabulous little campground, good for camping with kids. The hosts, Lynda and Merald, are friendly, accommodating, and take real pride in the camp, which shows in the consistently clean and well stocked bathrooms, fun little things for kids, and their constant willingness to help the campers. The camp itself is a short walk away from town, great green spaces for the kids to play in, and has a cookhouse on it which is great if you're looking to host something a little bigger. The showers are clean, free, and comfortable to use. There is a sandbox and horseshoes for the kids right there (and the school's playgrounds aren't far for the older kids.) Worth a stop, particularly if you want to experience a slice of the prairies small town life.”

“A great park and place to camp! We have been coming the last few years and love the fact that it is so close to town that we can bicycle in and around. Super close to the Happy trail that gets you the scenic tour around most of the town. A lovely park area for the kids and we were thrilled at the free bandstand show Sunday at 1pm. We will definitely be coming again!”

“Back again to start off 2019. No snow this time, but very windy. (Not the parks fault, lol) ???? As before very clean and quiet. Got to have a fire this year which was really nice. We will be back again soon. The staff are great and keep on top of maintaining the park. Shopping is close by. There's a nice off leash area if you have dogs and a nice pathway along the river.”

“Stayed here for a month in May. PROS: Clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry room. Many small playgrounds. Local campers generally keep to themselves. Quiet during the week. Good price for the area. Away from major roads. Security keeps rowdy intoxicated people in check. Some large lots. Most RV sites can handle heavy rain. Large firepits. CONS: Lacking on grass area in sites. Weekends before 12am can get loud. Dogs running loose and using other people's lots as bathrooms or going through food. Last few days went half of each day without water in entire camp. Many longterm lots are an eyesore. Like any campsite, a large amount of intoxicated people daily, and the smell of marijuana is potent.”

“This is not a campground. This is a convenient way to stay with or without services in your tent or RV at Callaway park. Prices in the store are high, but the staff is friendly and helpful The grounds themselves are well maintained, the spots well gravelled and smooth, but not very level. There are no fires allowed, be it wood or propane, but bbq are allowed. Refer back to the note that this isn't a camp ground in the traditional sense. In short, nice area to conveniently park the holiday trailer while you take the family to Callaway park.”
